EDIT: I reeaally hated that background so I tossed it out. I went with an outline that I'll likely be making for the real image. F5 for transparency.I finally managed to get a quick snap of this, yay. I really wish my scanner were functioning to get all the detail. Either way...
Though slightly chibified, here is a full character in marker and colored pencil. This is a new way I tried working a traditional medium- laying marker bases first then going over with colored pencil.

Thank you so much! I could not stand that other background. I then went and added the outline to the actual piece. I need to draw her traditionally more often. I grew fond of this color scheme.

Thank you! I really like this method for colored pencil. It gives the pencils a more solid background color to work with instead of making sure "all the white" is covered.

That is a really great idea. I know what you mean with trying to get all the white colored but you found an awesome style that took care of that. It also looks great and I feel it made the colors more bold and allowed for better detail.
