Description
Who is JEFBOT? Well, he's a guy in a semi-autobiographical webcomic. Jeff Schetze is the writer and artist.I've been enjoying JEFBOT a lot lately so I decided to go ahead and draw up some fan art of the dude in question.
Had fun with the pose, listened to a lot of Red Hot Chili Peppers while sketching so some of that "in your face" attitude transferred into the picture. Them chucks gave me some trouble so I had to reference my own beat up old pair, hence the worn down soles. I've never drawn cracked glass before and there weren't very many tutorials on the subject, so I pulled up a reference photo from stock.xchng and set to work. Tried as best I could, but I don't think I did so hot, maybe next time!

this is wonderful. I love the dynamic pose coupled with the foreshortening/perspective, it's very well done, very convincing. ^_^ The broken glass looks good, you can definitely tell what it is, and i think adding it really added some edge the picture. THe detail in the shoes is totally fab. I LOVE that you referenced a worn out pair, because the wear on the soul is perfect, it adds this extra bit of believability to the image (i don't believe that's a word.. hm.), anyhow, it came out great.

I'm glad you think the broken glass looks good. I may have to try it again sometime; maybe with a baseball bat... Yay breakin' stuff!
My Chucks are good an' old, at least 8 years and I still sport the suckers! I think one of them may need some repair soon, hope I can find our roll of duct tape.
