Description OH EM GEE, it's an original piece by Firestar9mm! ABOUT Firestar9mm! XD

So yeah, turn back now, or read on if you dare.

My life is either going really well, or in a shambles lately. The fact that I can't tell which one of those it is is probably not a good sign. I was staying in for the past two nights, ignoring my paperwork and sketching, and I absolutely could not get a sketch for my next DP piece that I knew was the right one. I couldn't figure out why, till I realized that something else was in my head that needed to get out onto paper--this. So, maybe now I can either a) finish Danny's sketches or b) get back to my paperwork. (Those dropdown menus when you submit a piece confuse the hell out of me. Does everyone have that problem, or is it just me?)

Firestar9mm and Pooka the Goblin Cat are copyrighted to me and my room, because I'm me, and Pooka sleeps in my room. The dialogue in the last panel is from one of my favorite episodes of "Danny Phantom", which of course is the property of the awesome Butch Hartman. Man, I never get tired of that episode!

Thanks for the ! Glad you enjoyed it. *^_^*

The only place I've found Danny on DVD is on the "Nick Picks" series, of which I think they're up to Vol. 4. Other than that, I actually went out and bought a VCR for the sole purpose of recording it to videotape. I know EXACTLY what ya mean! XD

nick picks...yeah I've heard of that... Nick's evil scheme (sp?) to sell more nick related dvd's to the DP fans! ... its not fair... Though you got wise and started recording, nice move but alas...I'm a dvd guy and I almost never get out my vhs player...'cept that one time I rented Tron... but thats another story

Again nice comic

I love these comics about you. The beginning was so sad; it made me want to and give you a ... Then you ended with a gut-busting ... You like playing with my emotions, huh?

The comics about yourself are just pure genius! I love them!! XD (yes, I'm serious...)

I can't wait to see them! XD

You are very welcome for this. I'm a sensitive guy who cares a great deal about his friends. But I don't lie to them either--I seriously loved this. You're very kind to me too.

Anyway, I decided to look at these comics and noticed that you have the same quirks I do with emotion and humor. I just don't know how to explain it, but you are "warped" in just the right ways... I just can't explain it quite the way I want to. **sighs**

Is there a Firestar fan club? I'd like to join it. XD

Oh by the way, the computer geek part of me wants to let you know that you may want to try scanning your next cartoon as a PNG file. They are lossless and compress cartoons very well. JPEG is best for photographs.

Firestar9mm In reply to gnulinuxman [2006-05-29 20:14:04 +0000 UTC]

Well, aren't you sweet. There are much better things to devote fan clubs to than l'il ol' Firestar, though. XD

Isn't being warped fun? I think at least once a day that I wouldn't trade my mindset for anything. It's something, isn't it?

I didn't know that about the PNG. Thanks! I'll try that and see if my scanner will support it. I'd like to see the difference onscreen.

You're sweet too. And I'm not just saying that because you have good aim with a gun...

Being warped IS fun... I wouldn't trade my mindset for anything either. I guess I, as well as my friends, are REAL pieces of work. XD

And about PNG: If your scanning software doesn't support it, try scanning it in as a BMP file and then converting it to PNG (because BMPs are uncompressed).

Lawl XP

That reminds me of something funny that that guy on America's Funniest Home Videos said (which is amazing, cuz he's not funny at all):

Cue scene- little kid about to open a fortune cookie
Announcer- Why eat the cookie, when you can eat the future?
As predicted- little kid tosses cookie aside and stuffs slip of paper into mouth

Mwahaha, eating the future ^v^

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

XD HA eating the future!....Can we eat OTHER people's futures...?

Wait, are we talking Bob Saget or the newer guy? Both are quite unfunny, but Bob Saget = the Antichrist (at least I believe; it's possible Tom Cruise might dethrone him at some point this year).

Firestar9mm In reply to TheButterfly [2006-05-02 13:26:25 +0000 UTC]

*thinks hard.* You know, I'm not sure I can even explain it rationally? There probably isn't a logical reason I think that. All I remember is that when my cousin used to come over when we were little, we would always come up with reasons not to go home, but when our parents used to say, "Well, we can stay until America's Funniest Home Videos is over," we'd be like, "Oh...maybe we should go home..."

Is that WEIRD or what?

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

TheButterfly In reply to Firestar9mm [2006-05-03 01:54:25 +0000 UTC]

That's kinda weird. I don't get it XD

When I was really little and we watched tv, I always sat on the floor in front of the couch, where my parents sat (they put me in my place, dammit. these MS-hatching fanbrats don't know how easy they have it now! XP). ANYWAY hehe. When the "Wheel of Fortune" music started, it was my job to jump up, run to the tv, and turn the channel before the end of the phrase. (yaknow, they go "Wheel... of... FORTUNE!")

I never found out what would happen if I didn't make it... cuz I always did. O.o

Sorry you've been having it so rough. :/ Heh, I do the LiveJournal thing, myself. And when I'm feeling cruddy, I tend to browse stuffed animal websites. Which is probably why a plush turkey vulture and a plush octopus are on the way to me now.

0.0 A plush vulture! I soooo wanted one of those to carry around on Valentine's Day when I was in high school XD You're beating me. I think the most unique-looking plush I have besides Pooka is my plush African wild dog. An octopus sounds like it would be cute!

Yeah, I never bought into xanga (I barely bought into DA, and that at the insistence of a friend) but it seems to me that that's all it is too

I like Pooky. He reminds me of my cat.

Firestar9mm In reply to RamiaFan [2006-04-30 12:21:07 +0000 UTC]

Sometimes I think Danny can fix anything.

I only started up the Xanga because my friends were all on it and every time I would ask them, "So what's going on with you?" they'd say, "Well, haven't you been reading my Xanga??" >< It was just faster to get my own and then read everybody else's.

👍: 0 ⏩: 0

Creative-Soul [2006-04-29 15:10:50 +0000 UTC]

Funny! I loved the part about Xanga, and the toast - "Oh yeah? You and what toaster?" Yeah, we'll never get tired of that!

Same thing with me. Either life's pretty content - not exactly great, but good for now; or life's an annoying mess where I'm pissed off at everyone and feeling angry and depressed; or I have this random third stage where every day is deja vu, which is what I'm in now, and it's driving me nuts! So yeah, sorry for the rambling...I should post that on Xanga or something

Anyway hope things get settled for you! I'm putting this in my favs cuz I like it hope you don't mind.

Firestar9mm In reply to Creative-Soul [2006-04-30 12:25:03 +0000 UTC]

I loved "Secret Weapons". I thought that scene was one of the best of the entire series.

Aw, you are so nice to me! I'm sure things will work themselves out for both of us eventually--Anita Blake tells us, "Worry about the things you can control. The rest will either work themselves out, or they'll kill you. Either way, no more worries." XD

Hey, I never mind someone faving my stuff, or liking it. Thanks for the --I'm glad you had fun with it! I did, too.

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

Creative-Soul In reply to Firestar9mm [2006-04-30 16:03:40 +0000 UTC]

I haven't seen all of Secret Weapons yet. I was at a friend's house, and she was kind of making fun of it the whole time, so it kind of messed it up for me. So I'm gonna have to wait and see it again before I decide if I like it or not.

Let's see...out of the series, I liked MB, PR for some reason even if it's only a filler episode, RS and TUE of course, and KS.

And who's Anita Blake? Was she that one from POL? I don't remember anymore Stupid school!

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

Firestar9mm In reply to Creative-Soul [2006-04-30 19:02:43 +0000 UTC]

For some reason, I tend to like filler episodes better, even if they don't advance the story. I'm always so interested in what happens to people Behind the Scenes and In The Interim Periods--between all the major battles and life-threatening attacks. *chuckles.* Maybe that doesn't make any sense. Still, "Control Freaks" is one of my favorites.

Anita Blake is the main character of a series of really fun vampire-hunting novels by Laurell K. Hamilton. The quotable Anita has helped me laugh through some really dire situations.
