Description
A drawing I did of one of the GMC Generals used in the movie Smokey and the Bandit Part II, and whatever the trailer they used is since I can't find any info on it. I did find a bit of info on the GMC Generals used. No one really knows, but there where either two or three Generals used in the filming of the movie, one had the standard twin tanks and step boxes under the doors, and the other one or two had the two standard tanks, a tank under the passenger door, and the step box under the driver's door. The sleeper was a custom concept built specifically by Able Body for GMC, and only seen in the movie. It was called the General's Quarters, and while it wasn't finalized and put into production, it did serve as the basis for the 60' flat top sleeper that was put into production later until the end of the General's production.Only one of the trucks is known to exist, having been converted to a daycab and sold as a dump truck, and the other(s) scrapped. It is unknown weather or not any of the sleepers still exist. One may be sitting in a GM warehouse somewhere.
I know absolutely squat about the trailer, much to my dismay.
