At a temple in Kamakura with an overload of these plaques due to the recent new year. You write your wishes for the upcoming year on these and leave them at the temple. It's interesting to read what people wrote. You'll often see them in many languages

I like the rainbow thingies^^ It adds some.. variation to this photo.. ah, don't know how to say it! ^^'

Nice photograph! It's kinda neat to see all of the wishes and hopes that people have. Even though I can't really read most of the Japanese, haha.

Thanks! It is fun to read the various wishes people wrote, though I can only understand some of the Japanese ones

I love the one with the rainbow colored tail. It really stands out and is placed in a good spot within the picture frame.
