Description
sketch :Backstory:
When he was young, Raven loves to play violin a lot. He practicing everyday, and sometimes he skips his dark magic lesson from his home tutor. Raven has hidden talent to mastering forbidden magic, but because of his desire to music, he never practice those magic. His clan, Nightclawler is the first and the original one who can manipulating dark element. His clan also skillful in making poison, they have their own legacy. Despite of their fearsome power, Nightclawler clan is kind and helping their ally to protecting their territorial from falling to Lord Darkness.
Molydes often play to Raven's castle, but sometimes he got ignored since Raven used to play violin a lot. So, he loves to teasing and bugging Raven when Raven playing his violin. Molydes also hiding Raven's violin in order to make Raven playing with him ( he return it after they playing or Raven will cursed him with Black Cat Curse, it's a bad luck curse). Molydes always brings his Scythe in case Raven got mad and attack him, which is very rare because Raven is very-very patient dealing with him. Despite their differences, they are good friend each other. Which is nice because Raven didn't has many friends because of his magic skill ( yes, he has fearsome aura).
Those cupcakes are baked by Raven's sister just for him ( so sweet!), but he rarely eat them because one of the cupcakes is used for poison experiment ( his sister is poison master), don't worry, this occasion very normal, the antidote is mixed with the tea anyway.

This is a pretty fun piece to look at - the main thing I would
recommend is to include some lighter values to boost the contrast.
Right now, it looks like everything is in shadow, and from far away
the figures blend in with the bookshelves in the background.
Again, lighting is key - the composition of this piece is strong, and I'd
say that pushing the lighting would really make the figures pop.
I like how you incorporated all the other textures and 3D stuff -
I've always wanted to learn how to do that XD

*this comment comes after reading the description*
If the Nightcrawler clam maniuplates the dark element, why are they threatened by the Dark Lord, Lord Darkness? Does this just mean that even though their clan was the first ones to control this element, be was from them and could do it too? And he's so strong he threatens to beat them at their own game?
Wow I never thought of how a magic user could lack friends because they have a fearsome aura.
And wow when you need to bring your weapon with you to protect yourself from your friends, wow you have an odd kind of friendship!
And I didn't notice the cupcakes at first! I wouldn't want to eat those either, if I had to drink the tea just to survive, hehe.
I wish I knew more about digital art, because then I could critique this better. It's also hard to critique because it's already done so well!
But I think the brushes were used excellently.
With all the pictures of tea sets and cupcakes that there are, though- especially with the cupcakes, I think that surely you could have found some that blend into this picture better, because the cupcakes look lit weird compared to everything else.
Maybe the clock has a little too much shadow?
And lastly, I think the stock for the cloak on the stand could have been used twice, because I think you could have edited the coat rack more so that it would go inside the hood of the cloak, rather than just pasting the cloak over the coat rack.
Other than that, I can't find anything else negative or constructive to say, so I hope that critique was helpful, because it's all the criticism I can possibly manage!

Don't worry about the criticism part, i'm really glad for your feedback! Really helpful! I think that the cloak needs more shading, when i saw it again, i guess you're right! I tried to find colorful cupcakes, because they looks less suspicious to be eaten, right? Hhe yeah, i think they need more blending~
Okay so, the background is relates to my story.
The Nightclawler Clan is the origin one, the very first clan who can manipulating darkness. This include forbidden magic. Due their power, Lord Darkness wanted to make them an ally (or subordinates) in order to rule the world. But, Nighclawlers are dislike wars, they like to live in harmony with other elements user. That's why, one by one, the Nighclawler's members are killed.
Lord Darkness's origin is from Light clan, but he got corrupted somehow and learn about element of darkness. Yupp, he can manipulate dark and light.
Yeahh he is that strong. All clans have to unite to end the war with Lord Darkness.
Because people seems to judge others from the cover, right? Raven is actually a kind kid, but everyone is scared of his aura. Hha they are trained since a kid how to fight, so, they have to bring their weapons everywhere XD
Yepp, their friendship is odd, but funny~
Haha, surprise isn't it? Those cute cupcakes turn out to be poisonous XD

*this part of the Comment's before I read the description*
WOW the really made a mess in here! They've made a mess of music.
Stuff everywhere, and I actually like it. Sometimes there's something artistic about a messy picture.
Also, the brown wings, in the smaller version look like hair at first. To me, anyway. And when I looked at the smaller, the long face at first made me think of some of the anime head shapes I've seen... Of course, I clicked on this and very obviously saw what was going on. I also clicked on the sketch, and that really highlights what stood out about this picture. Like, first I looked at the violin case in the sketch... I mean, since it's white in the sketch with x's in it it's obvious, and has that paper blowing inside. Then in this version... and that's the moment I finally noticed how much stock was in this picture! Mind you, though, that all these
thoughts occurred in a very short span of time. It's just what I was thinking and how I was discovering.
I also discovered that awesome blue and green vest! Those colors of it are amazing! (even better than the red one, so the one in the read should be jelly.
That should be why he's smiling... he's actually jealous because his vest/coat is less epic.
But yeah, wow. A lot of people use photoshop to combine many stocks, and it looks... weird, or kinda cool, but usually really mediocre/meh. But you put your drawings in and they draw so much attention to themselves and the digital painting that the eye might not even notice the stockiness at first! I... can't find appropriate words for it, but you've really used stock brilliantly to create an epic composition, AND you've proven you still know how to draw all this, from that great sketch you showed too. It was great to show that also.
And that sketch shows the detailed thought that went into it. The book titles in the sketch are there but don't really show here, but the sketch shows they were all thought of.

Hhe thanks! yeahhh his vest is epic XD
Molydes (left) is teasing Raven, ask him to play with him~ Yupp, he always smiling like that.
Thank you very much for your kind words dear! I wish i can make a long comments about your arts too ( too bad, i'm not good with words)
I always make a sketch concepts, since i love details~ I wanna make my drawings telling their own stories. So, even though people didn't read the comments, at least they understand what's this picture is trying to tell~

Wow, so much going on here! But in a good way I really like how you implement all these different elements in your drawings. Do you also work with textures/overlays? Not on small sections, but on the whole image. It's a great way to get the background and the character closer together, because they're set in the same 'light'. You basically apply it after you've finished everything (I did it here: Face me and Fight! ).
(For other tips: hananon.deviantart.com/ uses a lot of pictures for his backgrounds, and makes a lot of step-by-steps on how he does this. These are also two tutorials worth checking out ^^: 3D background Tutorial , 2D characters on screenshots - Tutorial )

I think the main improvement that can be done here is in the incorporation and use of the photo-elements and textures. Perhaps try to find a way to paint over or use just portions of the photos to give a slight implying texture to whatever you've painted rather than the photo-textures being the thing itself.....also the character and photo-elements probably would look better being "normalized" which means to try a make the painted/drawn elements and photo-elements mix harmoniously so that them seem to be created by the same technique....final lighting touches and photoshop filters can help a bit in this but are usually not the complete solution...well done, always keep learning! c:

Hhe i have difficulty when blending them ^^
That's a nice advice. Maybe i should paint over some of those objects. I do use final lighting touch in photoshop, but not sure what I'm missing of TT.TT
