Here, Raven playing violin just for youuu~
This is my OC, Raven Nightclawler. Inspired from Nicolo Paganini's movie: The Devil's Violinist

By the way, the violin is cursed. If anybody holding it without the master's permission, they will receive bad luck curse. And because Raven has forbidden magic, if he put his soul, feeling that represent a spell, the violin will make that magic comes true. It's pretty scary, because necromancy is one of the forbidden spell. Don't worry, he has other normal violin.
Raven is an excellent violinist. He loves playing violin since a kid. Because of this, he rarely train his dark magic. Since Raven's gift is forbidden magic, his power is so unstable, but he dislike his power because it's really dangerous. After war, Raven realize that he can't save anybody with a violin. Therefore, he starts practicing his dark magic. Lord Darkness very impressed with Raven's power. And he'd do anything that he can to "recruit" Raven.

I know nothing about playing violin, so i only using photo reference for drawing. Yes, his fingers are less than , it must be harder for him, but who knows?
His backstory is pretty dark, but i want to represent his other side in this picture.
The "flying hair" you confused about is just his hair style~ You know~ Boys usually use gel for their hair and form their hair as they wish~
Raven is indoor, in his castle. The flying things are rose petals. I'm not sure how to make the composition better, so i added them. I never thought about feathers, they might be more suit for this scene. Thanks for your suggestion~

Well, depends on what he is trying to play. If he wants to play the "D" note on the E-string (thinnest string, most outwards- he needs to jump up even more and I don't think it'll be very comfortable as I have never tried, but if he can play, hahaha.)
Oh, one piece of gelled hair and not for the rest? One of my OCs have that, but it's at the center, so it's not confusing. Or is it?
Feathers always give a dramatic touch, so that should do (even flower petals do so as well.)

Yus! I've played angklung. It's very fun (although you can't do a solo for a complicated-- I think?)
I was a violinist, but now I'm a violaist? Viola-ist? I play the viola (one string lower than violin). Piano and keyboards as well. Hehe.
I used to play the pianika in kindergarden but I barely remember.

Yes! Viola comes in more sizes, and are more minor in the orchestra. As you know the piano, well, I'll explain it like this: The violin's strings are G-D-A-E while the viola's are C-G-D-A. The viola reaches more lower notes than the violin, which plays the higher notes (though the violins are separated into violin 1 and violin 2 in an orchestra).
Cool bellyra, but I don't want to carry something 4kg for minutes.

Very dynamic posing. Nice composition and overall very well executed.
Only thing I can thing you need to improve on is balancing detail in the shading.
For example: over detailing the hair with so many individual strands doesn't work as well as maybe a more simplified form of hair shading, as your art style and shading on the face and clothes of the character is not overly detailed and so the two kind of clash. But even with that said, this is very beautiful work! Keep it up!

The first thing that strikes me is the composition and flow of this piece - your pieces tend to be pretty dramatic, and this is no exception.
I'd like to point out that there's a few details that bug me personally - the way Raven's holding the bowstring is kind of awkward. I don't play the violin but that doesn't look right to me ; v ;
Also, I wish that there was the same level of detail of shading / detail in the hair everywhere in the piece, but that's just my personal preference.
The rose petals are a nice touch to spice things up in the quiet spaces of the piece ` v `
I don't have much to say on this one haha. Ha. Ha. ^ v ^ ;;;;

First off I love the overall idea of this photo. Music is very influential in many aspects of life and to implement art with that is wonderful to me. I love the hair and the petals flying around. The hair has great detail and strands stand out. The small details such as the light bouncing off of the violin and a slight shine to the string adjusters show great effort.
However, I did find a few things that stand out negatively to me. The lines on the violin vs the character contrast. The violin is done with soft lines and a low contrast of the colors to the wood. Whereas the character has black sharp lines on everything else. I believe if you had chosen a darker yellow for the fur lining it would have matched better. Another thing, the wings and the hair are the same color so I thought they were the same thing almost. The last thing I had an issue with was the black "waves?". They contrast the theme of happiness (like the light shining through the windows) and confuse me as to the mood of the piece.
Just remember not to take everything to heart and you do what you want to do

Really love the colours, and fantastic job on the composition! If I can point out a couple things that stuck out to me, the left eye looks too high compared to the right one (and the eyelash is too small). The way the right chunk of bangs bend up at a 90 degree angle doesn't really make sense either given that the motion of the rest of the hair is in a gentler curve to the right. The lighting is great, but given how strong the light is coming in from the back, I think going with even harsher with the lights/darks could help the piece pop more. The reds and blues with purple shadows adds great contrast and unity to the picture though!
