I like a lot of things about this one! First of all, I like the use of patterns. The chains, as well as the soft square pattern in the background. Very nice! They go well with the gradient behind him and I like the different levels you've put the chains on so it looks like the room is filled. You did well showing how tight the chains are by shading and moving the clothes around them (and then even on the skin of his arm). I think you could even push that further and show more dramatic folds and bulges in his clothes. You got some nice shadows happening around there all ready but those could become even more dramatic with more dynamic clothing. You could also focus your light source more to really make this picture powerful. Very nice lines though, and I really like the look of this one. Don't be afraid to give your characters more weight by really pushing the values. Excellent work! :]

Thanks for your advices~!! I'll take a note for future reference. I'm glad you like it.
And Yes, I'm agree with you about the light source. I'm still learning about lighting though, i'll try my best next time.

No, you're doing great though. I'm not sure what you are currently wanting to focus on learning right now, but if you're not sure, I would suggest that now would be a good time to start focusing on lighting for a little while. Your blending is really nice all ready and you seem to do well with using both light and dark values in your art. So in my mind, the next best step would be to do some research to understand lighting better. :] Your stuff looks great! :]

When the chains get heavy,
and wrap hard around your soul,
the hurt begins to grow.
Never let them eat you up inside,
never let them suffocate you by their grip,
for there are other souls waiting for your light,
a shining smile, a tender word, igniting the sparks they hold in their heart.
You have the key to release the locks, when you do, the chains fall and dissolve,
finally free to spread the wings and fly to the sky, a veloured night with a soft Moon leading to the orange, green and purple shining nebulae and stars.

Ohh woow that's beautiful~!!
This is the first time i get poetry for my artwork. It's like you read my sorrow from my artwork and turning it into words in the way i can't explain it.
I'm so happy!! a word of gratitude is never enough! Thank you!!

It was my pleasure. ^^

Artworks trigger the words, and this one brought me to write what I did.
And I think you did a good thing to draw your sorrow into this image.
There are many ways of getting something out of one's system,
and having it in front of you can make it less big and scaryer.
So, the thanks go to you for uploading this image.

Beautiful work! The color values emphasizes very well the composition attracting viewer's eye to the character and his face.
