Description
Squish my heartInto a bloody pulp
Burn my tongue
With your poisonous lips
Rip my skin!
Rape my words!
Dig your claws
Into my breathing lungs
Make my cry
Till my eyes burn out
Slash me
Trash me
or kiss me soft...
I am fearless
of what will come
__________
This image just popped up in my head. Don't know why, but it did. And then I found an old poem that matches perfectly.
I'm not too sure I'm satisfied with how this turned out thou. I had a bit of trubble getting the colors as I wanted them... Oh well... :shrugs:
And oh yeah... There's the blood againg.
And thank you to the art of "Yumedust" here on DA, for inspiration to the colour scheme of pale green and white.

Beautiful yet disturbing. I love the soft colors contrasted to the bright blood on her lips. Your work is lovely!

Yes, we sure can... I find it both fascinating and truly frightening. Human nature I suppose...

Thank you very much! That's so sweet of you!
And sure you could do it! Some hardcore practice with a tablet and Photoshop and you'll be there. I've seen your little angel, you see...
And besides, trust me when I say that THIS is NOT what my art looked like a year ago...

Jag Γ€r egentligen inte van att anvΓ€nda en mjuk palett, men av nΓ₯n anledning har det Γ€ndΓ₯ blivit en sΓ₯n pΓ₯ flera av mina bilder pΓ₯ senare tid.
Perhaps I'm just going soft.

Gentle and pure, only to be blemish by such a brutal act. A genuine contrast showing how an act is to tarnish something so beautiful

Thank you!
I'm glad you reflected on the contrast in it. Cause it was pretty much what I was hoping for to achieve with this one. *happy*

I think this looks..gorgeous. A perfect stillshot of a moment in time so poignant it makes my own heart ache to literally see her pain. Brilliant.

What an lovely and poetic comment! Thank you!!
To be able to evoke just some itty bitty feeling at all with my beginners-art is more than I ever hope for...
And then there comes along a commet like yours, that just brightens up my day!

The suspended feeling is just brilliant. Not to mention your choice of color scheme, and the transition of hues.. argh! You improve too fast! I envy it! :3

How to respond to that? *bewildered* I absolutely adore your art, and you saying this, just warms my heart!!
No need for envy... Cause this one took me ages. So trust me, there will be nothin' fast happening here, I tell yah...
Nonetheless, thank you for the great compliment!

XD You know you're an artist when you fall asleep with Photoshop/Painter open, and lose track of your only 2 friends.
Seriously, your effort is really paying off! Are you taking any courses right now?

Firstborn In reply to aelice [2006-10-03 00:45:35 +0000 UTC]
Lol! No... Don't think I'm an artist just yet then. So far I've actually managed to fall asleep after shutting down the computer. ^^
Oups! Well, they say being an artist has a price to it. But, I hope you found your 2 friends again. Friends seem to be easy to track down... I mean, you know them well enough to find out where they're hiding.
Thank you again! *can't help but blush again* Well, we'll see how it goes when I have a go at my next painting.
But no, not taking any courses. Never have actually. Ehh... Well except the mandatory classes in high school... I'd love to take some someday thou! But so far, I've had a look at some tutorials here on DA and studied the work of other artists to learn. And then ofcourse, I've played around with pen, paper, watercolours and now Photoshop.
How about you, have you taken any courses to refine your talent?

I had a lot of fun with Life Drawing in school, and my teacher loved me. :3 She was the BEST (Jennifer Burkely in Albuquerque), and I could NOT have progressed without her help. I wish I had the time for classes now, so I just read a lot of anatomy books, and study dramatic poses in theatre productions.

Gasp! It's beautiful! I love the flowing hair and the blood looks so real. And the butterfly is very pretty too.
Owie... that wound looks really painful. I feel sorry for the poor girl.

Thank you luv!! I'm happy you like it!
Hope I did't misslead you with the little sneak peak.
Well, it might be a bit painful for the girl, but if you think it looks like it hurts... Then my job here is done.
