had some moral trouble doing this one b/c of what the original concept was based off of and the fact i didnt think it was right to keep things as similar they were, but it was fun to do in the end.Original sketch by by the lead artist of Blobbies Wars. Sketch was -based- off of the monkey island game? I think.

i love the sky and water but i absolutely HATE the little huts and buildings i couldnt make them look any better though.

EDIT: okay wtf? DA is being weird. i uploaded completely the wrong file? atleast n MY end. It was showing the wrong file to me an the right one to other ppl so i deleted it and i'm trying again

Hahaha, it reminds me awfully on Monkey Island 4.....that Island. I think it looks pretty awesome...and Monkey Island 4 was a pretty awesome game ^_^

I played that indiana jones game ....uhm....number two I think.... not sure.... Atlantis, was it? It was fun...it reminds me much of the old sierra and kings'n quest games...but I got stuck...too often... >_<
I've only seen pictures of Monkey Island 1....or was it two? I have to admit....with being spoiled by awesome graphics and such these days, it's hard playing the old games again...especially when my computer is so uptodate, I can't even install an old game such as Monkey Island 3 >_<

DOS? Oh yeah, I can remember that... Gee, I hadn't seen DOS for years (except the loading sequence of windoof of course), and I don't think I can remember the commands

I remember some of the commands, like Dir and c:/ and stuff.... >_< but that's all.... I remember how to use the commands for getting into my Sierra games too....that's funny.... >_<

yeah, that's right...it was the time before CDs came out... what the hell were we listening to then? LPs and Kasettes???? Can't remember much of that time, but I do remember I had some game on the computer which was called Crocodile -something-something...that was on disks too.... these days, there's hardly any disc-stations on any pc.... except from mine, 'cause I accidently like saving things on them....set aside that most of the time it doesn't work... baaarrrghhh! >_<

Yeah, I adore the island itself and the water and sky, but I see why you wouldn't like the huts as much. They see kind of artificial in such a perfectly blended environment. Maybe it's just how dark the outlines are?

the only thing that looks a bit strange is imo the bottom outline of the houses maybe lighten it up a bit but doesnt really care looks great the way it is

that's awesome. Yuppers, that's based on MI. It looks like Monkey, Melee and Plunder all roled up into one big maga-monkey special island thingy...anywho, great job. I'm going to fave it cause Monkey island's my fave game^__^

Yep thats monkey island allright. Only there was a big monkeyhead statue on the rightside and lots of it ended up looking different.
