Description
A request forWhat a spoiled gryphon!
Time: Over the course of a day. Plus an extra hour trying to fix a lighting problem.
Tools: Coloured in pencil crayon (coloured pencils). The background was done digitally.

Thank you so much! I've only been colouring seriously since I joined dA really. Before then, it'd be just lineart and black and white. I've deleted alot of my stuff since then, but my colouring's better now I think. I don't practice exactly. I just...do it whenever I do a picture. I have...limited resources. Crayola pencil crayons that are really what children use lol.

Have you ever seen the movie The Last Unicorn? That cartoon is so beautiful. The art work is just breathtaking. I used to watch it all the time as a kid. Its really inspirational.
Yeah I love egyptian anything. You know, the egyptians really knew how to make great things. Spin quite a yarn or too about myths and such.

damn spoiled griff! anyways um the space you created for hima nd throught he shading looks nice and believable but that floating bowl of fruits throws that out the window- I would think about repositioning that bowl of fruits on the ground... or (since the yellow of the bowl and red of the apple DOES help bring your eye to that corner) maybe you could just make the chain more noticable.... I didn't catch it the first few times I looked....

LOL hey I'm just kidding. Arg why do people think it floats?! Damn you and cooley lol. Thinking the same. I would have put it down on the ground but I had put a chalice there to begin with, but then I had to edit it out so there was no room for it in the end. Sorry

you can fix it in PS.... I know, I know.. peeps don't like altering traditional wrk... personally I think its foolish not to edit in PS unless your selling originals.. in which case it would be worth it to do the whole thing over again... either way after a closer inspection I did realize it wasn't floating- but that chain is awfully camoflauged.. ah well just something to think about- I figured I'de voice what I saw- also I think it wrks really well for the comp being up there isntead of on the ground... except for the whole it looks like its floating thing.... anyways really doesn't matter cause anyone who saw the piece in real life would pick it up right away me thinks
