Notes:
-I separated Zelda and Sheik because like Sakurai, I also think they work better separately rather than together.
-The Ice Climbers now play as one character like Duck Hunt. (Personally, it's difficult for me to play as them with the current control style they were built with.)
-I added Pit because I feel he would be a good fit in Melee rather than Takamaru or Excitebiker.

Can't say I like how Ganondorf still appears to be a Falcon clone here. Personally, I'd have held him off until Brawl to give him a unique moveset here, rather than risk him getting stuck with a horribly out-of-character moveset in every appearance solely because he was a Falcon clone in one game.

Actually, Ganondorf in this version has his own moveset. The placement next to Captain Falcon is irrelevant.

Um.....sorry to say, but I don't think Lucas can be in Melee. Melee came out in 2001, and Mother 3 came out in 2006. I'm not hating, I'm just passing along information.

Think of it this way:
Alternate timeline Nintendo is making Melee. They want to promote both the upcoming Fire Emblem game, Fire Emblem: The Binding Blade and Mother/EarthBound game, Mother 3. Roy and Lucas get into Smash.
Fire Emblem: The Binding Blade gets released on time. Mother 3 gets delayed and eventually comes out in 2006.

I know, but Lucas was supposed to replace Ness in Melee. Only reason it didn't happen is because Mother 3 was supposed to be on N64DD but got reworked for GBA instead.
