Description Yeah, here's the deal. The thing is, there are people who only draw one topic. Now I know how people like only one topic, but the thing is, if you do something that's only along that topic basically every time, it gets boring. Let's mix it up a little. I have 47 stamps. Why? Because it's a more visual approach at giving out messages, plus I know how some things become yawners. That's what being creative is about: Mixing things up.

This is why it's always good to spice things up.

Though I agree with this, art is considered an outlet for the mind. Artists are allowed to express whatever and however it fills their heart's desire, and though it is nice to see an artist's gallery filled with more than just one topic (for example, a good lot focusses on wolves), you cannot walk up to someone who like to draw/sculpt/whatever and say "hey. This is getting boring. Draw something else." They're doing what makes them happy, or what they do best. People have professions in some topics, and if they stick to that, let them be.

I hope you don't take offense to this, because I didn't. It's not a rule in art to have several different topics that have been mastered; it's more of advice because it's great to be well rounded! I think I see your point, but you might want to word it differently...Other than that, it's a great piece of advice to a beginning artist. And if they don't take your hand, then that's their mess.

Well, you have a good point. We are unique individuals, and we should be known as such.
