While in Tenerife I was lucky enough to attend an annual fiesta in celebration of Nuestra SeΓ±ora del Carmen held in Puerto Santiago.It lasts 1 week in which special events take place in churches around the area. On the Saturday night there is a big religious ceremony on the beach followed by a huge firework display (the best I have ever seen (They dont buy the fireworks, they buy some wooden tubes and a truck full of gun powder and make their own (something which would certainly be illigal in America or England))) followed by dancing and partying 'till the early hours.
