Edit: March 2009 - I decided to redo this piece because I always loved the idea of it, but I wasn't happy with the execution, now I'm happy!

There are some pieces that you do that you leave a little bit of yourself in, and then there are those that you put your all in. This is one of those cases. I took the theme "Through the Fire" to heart. I wanted to show something graphic and harsh, but also beautiful. As someone who has suffered many pains in their life I felt the need to represent it somehow. I hope I did an okay job. For me, I still can't decide how I feel about this piece, I either really love it, or really hate it, so I figured I'd put it up and let the DA community decide for me, so I'm putting it out there.
