Edit 3: There we go! finished!! lol added some shading and fixed a few parts with the glowEdit 2: Ok >.> is better now but im still not done, going to fix up some of the shading
Edit: RAGE DEM PIXELS AROUND THE OUTLINE GAH ill fix that tomorrow >.> for now i go to bed lol
^^ here's my contest entry for #The-Underground-City !! Had fun messing with lighting on this one ^^ took the jittery effect from my iScribble art and tried to include it in my normal drawings! Think I'm going to start doing that from now on!
Feel free to join the contest even if you aren't in the group!! only requirements is that the entry follows the theme mentioned in the journal which is Really simple!! It only has to do with the group and the prizes for all three places are points!

Oh!! and Please critic this!! After the pole i posted with most of the votes saying im am improving id like to know what i can improve on further that isn't noticed by me and is noticed by others!! You can be as harsh as you like because i know that i am a harsh critic myself sometimes and unless you end up saying something totally uncalled for that has nothing to do with anything, i will be perfectly fine with it!
also, though i hate to bribe >.> critic harshly and i will give you a llama, i don't want dem nice critics with all 5 stars and stuff!! I want ones that will help me get better XD

Origioanlly Im not a fan of chalk like drawings, but if this was to be placed over a timline picture representing a past then that is awesome.
One thing I see through this though is that the colors of thing like the crystals and water are to blurry to fully figure out at first, same for the ground of the water which fooled me into believing it was sand. More shadow around the en of her head, could barely tell what emotion she is stating but it she looks sad.
The best part I like about this is the precision and accuracy of the tail markings, I always wanted to know your method into making them glow so bright throuhg the screen. which come to my next point is reflection. I know I dot do this myself but light needs to reflect a bit off the other lights or at least blend together. The area needs to be more solid.

I love this piece because it really shows how amazing your art is. It's extremely beautiful.
The shading and lighting is perfect and Samantha stands there, it fits the background perfectly.

Not really sure how to do critiques but what I think you should work on is the lighting with water. Water is pretty difficult to draw however there is very little shading to it. Water is sort of in patches, I guess you could say, where it's really dark and then really bright. I don't know if that makes much sense
