The name of the species is Kootona.Β It is the dominant predator on the planet Tashoo.Β It stands 152 cm (5 feet) tall at the shoulder making it approximately 182 cm (6 feet) at the crown of the head.Β It's approximately 5 meters in length from tip of nose to tip of tailΒ The tail is 2 meters in length.Β The Kootona is highly intelligent and, it is believed, has telepathic abilities.Β They are the fastest land animal on Tashoo capable of running at a speed of 125 kph (77 mph) for .4 km (.25 mile) in the pursuit of its prey and can trot at speeds of 55 kph (34 mph) for hours.Β This particular one is the pet of the lead character in a book I've recently completed.Β His name is Chy.Β If anyone would like more information about the Kootona, you may note me and I'll be more than happy to tell you anything you would like to know, short of giving the plot of my story away.

Thanks.Β The Kootona is from a story I've written.Β It's nickname in the story is Chy Ta, meaning ferocious one.Β The Kootona is the most ferocious predator on the world known as Tashoo.
