EYYY about time I redesigned my boy! While I've always thought Huggo's design was cute, it didn't really say 'mascot' the same way Bupsy did. So I've been puzzling out a way to make him more toylike. I'm really digging the puppet mouth and doll eyes so I thought I'd clean it up into a little reference.

YES he slips up sometimes but he really tries to keep from hurtin' kiddos. And seeeecretly judges Bupsy for his laziness in that regard.
I dunno! It would depend a lot on the first impression. He's had bad experiences with teenagers but he for sure appreciates friendly people, so it might be a toss up.

Interesting designs as always. I'd just like to see how someone would work a mask like that. He could work as a nutcracker or something with teeth and a jaw like that!

I really like the redesign and I agree the old one didnt read as much of a mascot as bupsy does. before it just seemed more like a costume or someone with clown makeup than a full blown theme park mascot.

He might've read as a mascot in someone else's art style, but I think I draw too many google-eyed critters for him to read as 'fake cute' in a mascot sense. So the envelope had to be pushed! Thank you!

He's absolutely adorable! Sucks though that he hates teenagers. Otherwise, I'd give him a hug, but I feel like he'd rip my flesh off because of that, haha.

His sore spot with teens is that the amusement park (being shitty and rundown) is often plagued by vandals, who are usually teenagers--so he's got a bit of a skewed perspective on older kids. He'd probably be quite tolerant of polite teens though!

They actually get along surprisingly well after a while? Like, obviously Bup has some VERY LEGITIMATE ISSUES with him at first, but...man, when there's only one other person in the world who knows what you're going through, it's kind of hard to not become buddies eventually.
