Description
The Terrid Cruiser is the first Dirge form to be born of intelligent bio-mass originally present in Ancerious. While it is not a significant step in the gradual evolution of the Dirge, the ability to adapt even mechanical technologies, and emulate it show the frightening purpose that the Dirge originally had. This craft was created immediately after the aftermath of a skirmish with a pirate group operating under the name of the Torvon, who relied heavily on kinetic weapons. THis aggressive craft emulates both their rail gun weapons, and Cruise missiles, filling in the much needed role of long range attack craft among the Dirge. The only heavily armoed portion of this craft is it's head, which it can use in close quarters to ram um-shielded targets. For the most part the crafts exterior is covered in dense muscle mass that is required to use its newly aquired weapons systemsLength: 2700 metres
Armament:
Crashing Jaw
The Split mandibles of the Terrid are a sight to behold, covering the majority of the front of the craft, and able to widen nearly 90 degrees in either direction, it can be used to crush ships that it dwarfs, as well to grievously damage those larger than itself.
42x Tillis Cannons
Gained from: Torvon
The Tillis is a weapon similar to a mass driver, however it uses different principals emulated form assimilated technology to function. It creates a dense bone chard deep in the organism, which is then fed quickly into the barrel of the weapon using a series of winding tube-like muscles, similar in a fashion to intestines, that gradually build up speed in the projectile, when it enters the barrel the creature uses its zero-point drive to greatly accelerate the already fast moving projectile
Functions very similarly to a railgunΒ
14x Tormuentum Micro-Organisms
Gained from: Torvon
The Tormentum is a very deliberate weapons system, and is based off of contemporary cruise missiles. It is berthed in the stomach of its host craft, and travels along digestive tubes, being coated in a substance that causes it's outer cell to thicken, and harden greatly. The creature itself is launched at velocity from an orifice on its host, then uses a miniaturized version of the Zero-point drive to engage in rough course correction, and to gain velocity towards its target. The hardened shell of the Tormentum is meant to pierce deep into enemy armor. Once inside it uses bile-sacs buried deep within itself to eject a very potent acid into the target ship, melting its crew, and burning through bulkheads, and armor, causing damage.
Functions as a self-guided cruiser missile, useful for damaging larger ships without shields.
Drive Systems: Zero-point Ftl drive

Wow ! This spaceship is really cool ! I love the concept of a "close-combat" ship that destroys orthers with such primal weapons like jaws. There is a tyranid feeling, yet it's very different too ! Does that come from a game/comic/story or something like that ?

Thank you for your kind words! It belongs to a faction that I control in a fairly Large sci-fi rp group called the Dirge. While i can say that they are a unique, and somewhat original race, they are most certainly inspired by various other sci-fi universes. Β Lore-wise they were a race initially created by another, that were complete masters of bio-engineering, and it would have formed the pinnacle of all their technology. The Dirge were created during a civil war, as a weapon that could infect and assimilate the genetic code of other intelligent minds to evolve. needless to say they broke free, and basically destroyed their creators. In the Rp group they attempt to distance themselves from the 'weapn' status, and shun any and all of their original purpose to the best of their abilities, though it is often challenged in a galaxy strife with war. Β I would say that there defiantly is some tyranid in there, along with the Thing, necromorphs, and the flood from halo.
Haha well, i'm sure i've talked your ear off, or in this case typed it off. I do appreciate the critique . Hopefully I've explained them a little bit better. If you'd like me to tell you more about them, feel free to send me a pm, I lvoe discussing this kind of stuff
