I wanted to start a series of different "links" called
Link Reborn series (LR). this is my first series, gerudo link!!
and im sorry if bg is crappy lol but i only made a bg for it to set an idea of the theme/background to this link.
i swear i couldn´t be bothered with the bg so i rushed it at an xtreme speed
uploaded the one without bg, shows his other foot, sword and no blur on colors here it is [link]
and here´s the story/theory thing too:
Link is always being raised by the kokiri every single time, this can be backed up by the fact that every decendant of link wears the kokiri tunic.
so lets say that something happens in the cycle and something changes!!
Link is born a hylian as usual, but this time raised by the gerudos!! OMG, the reason why he is tanned and has similar red hair to a gerudo male, is because of the harsh weather conditions that the gerudos live in, these conditions (IRL)
can be a factor to change in hair color and skin tone.
, also, when he gets his master sword, "mysteriously", it isn´t the same shape as before, due to the difference in the link cycle and so here we are Gerudo Link!!!
(the sword thing will be cleared up as i upload this again without bg).

This actually brings to mind a really interesting premise for a LoZ game: the whole game could be about Link from one dimension traveling to other dimensions and meeting his alternate selves and the counterparts for other characters and teaming up with them to save all the dimensions or something.

I like it, a unique twist. Does that mean Ganondorf was raised by the Kokiri? OR he's raised by Gorons and that could explain his "POWER". :3

The idea of a Gerudo Link is very good and a very nice change of direction. Nintendo having always done something different big or small with almost every Zelda game doing this would be up their alley as well. So the possibility is out there and plus it be good if the fans let their voices be heard for a request of Link being reborn as a Gerudo, Sheikah, Goron, or a Zora. He would truly be "The Link" between all the races.

you know what I have not seen? A Gerudo Zelda for din's sake they have a gerudo princess peach no lie! well anyways this is epic and the detail is simply stunning

I like the idea and the whole concept, save for one thing. I don't quite understand why the Master Sword, an artifact from at least 100 years (If Skyward Sword is supposedly taken into consideration, if not, it was still at least quite old), would suddenly just "change" shape just because Link, who is only part of a fraction of that time, had a change in his past? Granted, this version didn't have too much of a change.
Either way, I thought there was something more going to go on with this, but I guess not? Hmm... Either way, I really liked how you took into consideration real life aspects into the drawing.

to be honest i didn´t really put any thought to the story or theory, it was just a ten second thought, and an urge to draw a Gerudo version of link, and then as i was drawing it, i came up with the idea to create these series, just for fun and to somewhat simulate possible changes in the cycle, such as link not being raised by the kokiri but instead by the gerudo´s;
i´m an ´old´ link fan, and know all the games and manga, except for the new stuff such as Skyward sword, so im not really sure about the role of the master sword in Skyward sword.
i suppose these series that im making would mainly be based on the timeline of OOT than anything else.
However, the sword shape changing thing is only a fanfiction thing i came up with,
though if the master sword were to change for a reason, i reckon the closest reason would be similar to the reason that you mentioned, except these series that i´m making are actually based on "A change in link´s cycle", not a change in links past, in other words, a change in the "future"´. But in reality im not really trying to adjust the cycle stories to make sense, its just a quick fanfic thing to go with each series, im just having fun with the art

your right about that, maybe a reverse cycle!, an evil hylian king threatens the kingdom by planning to take over the land and expand his empire, he flattens Death mountain, chops down the kokiri forest, contaminates the beautiful waters of Zora´s Domain, and his next target, is the desert!! the gerudo´s homeland!!!

yeah it is getting old i have my own version of link but he's not a he in it feel free to take a look if you want just type in legend of zelda the fall of hyloin{and that's the name it doesn't take place in hyrule} and it should pop up with my user name on it.
