helen was born in lilycove city, born to a rich couple of a relicanth father and a Salazzle mother, her father loved working with machines and owned a company that made machines designed for peoples of all abilities, four-legged, no legged, wheelchair-bound etc. her mother, well she wasn't much of a mother and left them when Helen was three having only married her father for the money and never wanted to be saddled with a child.
it didn't help the fact that Helen was born without legs, so was wheelchair bound from birth, not wanting his daughter to feel alone or hindered in any way her father made her special wheelchairs that he upgraded each year to help her, he even made sure to spend a lot of time with her, taking her to aquariums and performances and even the cities beach, where she fell in love with the performances of dancers in the ocean, but she also faced a problem growing up, she was often referred to as a freak or a mermaid by kids her age, getting pitied looks or disgusted ones from adults, leading her to be very insular even in public school, not wanting her to be alone her father tried his hardest to get her to at least try to get to know others, but she kept refusing having already given up on others.
it wasn't until her father started dating that she took interest in anyone, he was dating a female Dewgong named Felicia that only had one leg, so had to rely on a prosthetic to walk when she wasn't swimming, what interest Helen was that this woman saw her not as a disabled child or a freak but just a child. and the fact she was also a performer for a water-based performance helped,
soon enough Felicia and Jason married making Felicia her stepmother, and after the honeymoon was over Jason had to go to work leaving Felicia and Helen alone in the family's manor, to which the dewgong started showing Helen the show's routines, on her request of course, she showed Helen the dances and the acts, even took her backstage to one of the shows she was part of to watch and when there were no shows her stepmother took her to the beach for some deep sea diving letting her see the beauty of the ocean around them, this period of them bonded made Helen determined to do the same kind of thing, performing in shows like her stepmother, which overjoyed the dewgong and even her father. but knowing she couldnt persue it fully without a good education and a good social level of understanding Felicia suggested to helen to study at the pokemon academy where she can get to know others at her own pace whilst she studied assuring her that every performer needed good people skills, beleiving her the shiny relicanth put in her appilication and got herself ready for her next chapter

- the skin has a light layer of mucus excretion to prevent drying out when touching her skin it simply feels cold and damp

Hello! I hope that you're having a nice Valentine's Day season so far! I just wanted to say thank you for being so nice to me! I was still getting used to getting around the school, and especially the weird metal scales! But you said hi to me anyway even though I was too nervous to talk much...so thank you for that!
I don't know if it'll be ok for it, but I thought that maybe if you put some oran or pecha berry leaves into your wheelchair's water it'll smell really nice, like a perfume that your tail's always in! Not that it smells or anything, I'm sorry if that's the implication with that sentence...but I thought that maybe you'd like the scent - like perfume! Plus the leaves on the water could look really pretty too~
