I really enjoy the mood and thematic element of this piece. IT immediately takes my mind to a very evocative place that makes me think this is part of a much lager tableau of characters. I particularly enjoy her expression and the stark contrast of her skin to the very dark outfit.
Where I think it is a bit of a "let down" is that I want a larger scale. The headdress and the circular component both could benefit from being larger. Particularly since the outfit is so plain. I think it is a very successful piece, but I wish it had more gravitas on the showier aspects.
But overall a very striking piece. Great job!

I would add that the line of light coming out of her left arm is distracting (light from under a closed door maybe?)
Straighten the left edge of the chair to straight vertical, then crop at that edge to get rid of lighting shadow of chair.
Finally, bounce a small penlight off a reflector from across the room to bring in definition to the folds, etc. of the outfit without losing the "black" effect.
overall I like it very much. Good work.
