The tree looks fantastic, and the blown out sky actually adds to the shot (for once...I hate it when my skies are blown out...)

This is true. I'm usually one for Dramatic skies, but not when they're blown out. However this one just strikes me as just plain cosy.

I really like this shot. The branches on the left sort of arch over and lead you to the right where the road and the powerlines just disapear into the frame.
