I happen to like this very much but a red sapphire is still a ruby... They're composed of corundum but rubies have chromium inclusions.
Other colors of sapphires naturally exist but the only color a sapphire cannot be is red. That is when you classify them as rubies.

I'm not talking about their Gender, I'm talking about them IDing as a Sapphire instead of a Ruby, being as Rubies are basically Sapphires but red and she gives no shits about people saying otherwise.

I'm sure Floofhips is well aware of the difference between a ruby and sapphire. But apart of being an artist is ones creativity. The fact they made a red sapphire was apart of them being creative, and though I'm sure you didn't mean to be, its a little offensive to try and correct someone's art, especially when the opinion wasn't asked for. People make gems themed off of foods, objects, and well, anything really.

I appreciate that you're trying to help and correct me. I really do.
However, even for the sake of creativity, I still find it very agitating when I find something I admire and it's blatantly incorrect, especially when examples of the same thing have been shown to prove the piece incorrect. Even the little things. You can theme things as you want but there's already a set rule for things like these.Β
