Lily started walking faster and faster as Dylan tried to catch up with her to recover his camera.
“Wow! There’s a lot of pictures!”
“Stop! Give me back my camera!”
“Okay, okay! Just give me a sec!”
“Stop running and look where you’re going! You’re going to fall off the roof!”
“Look at all these! I didn’t know you liked me so much!”
“W-what?!”
“Did you know that no one invited me to prom?! Why didn’t you invite me?!”
“Tch! Yeah, right.”
Of course he wanted to invite her! More than anything. Dylan didn’t even know how to begin to explain that to her, or if it was even the right moment. He was upset and tired, trying to figure out how to recover his camera without being too rough.
“I’m serious!” she said. “No one did.”
“I’m serious! Stop running and give me back my camera, or else!”
“Or else what? I could see something I don’t wanna see?”
