So this is the thing;

Misk; "Alright then." Misk replied. She slowly followed behind Rookie, staring down as she pawed along. "I wish my parents were still here." She whispers quietly to herself.

Rookie; Rookie twitched an ear, eyeing her curiously. "I-if you don't mind me asking, but... what... were they like...?" he asked slowly. "I never had or experienced parents of my own..." he murmured, then added hastily, "besides my uncle."

Misk; "They were the only things I had at the time. Since I was usually picked on a lot, I relied on them to comfort me. They were always kind, though they scolded at times, but I loved them." She flattens her ears and continues, "More then anything." She pauses, remembering the attack of her parents and the cave and everything. "I was so young when it happened. I don't even remember much." Misk eyes flood with tears but she hesitates to cry. She doesn't want to seem weak in front of Rookie.

Rookie; Rookie looked at Misk, his eyes narrowing sadly. "I see.." he murmured, tail drooping a bit. He looked at his paws silently, then looked up, smiling all goofy at her. "Well, you got me right?" he chided happily. "And if anyone picks on you, just come to me, because I'll straighten them punks out for ya'," he snorted, but smiled at her.

Misk; Misk replies slightly embarrassed, "Alright then." She paws slowly then pauses. Just a couple yards away, she see's the glances of a dear. She paws at the ground and whispers to Rookie, "Hey look a dear!"

Rookie; Rookie smiles brightly. "Hey, if we manage to catch it, we won't have to explain being gone so long," he whispered, excitement tingleing throughout his body. He'd rather catch this deer than face his sister or anyone else and try to explain being lost.
