Very nice work, the thumbnail immediately caught my attention! You did a wonderful work with colours, the image is clear and readable even in a smaller size and the shadows don't lose their basic shape. I love your painting style, the way you blend looks great; those brushed you used are really awesome! You managed to make the character look very 3-d and almost sculpture-like... so yeah, I guess you understood I *really* like your shading! I enjoy also the palette you picked, it's not so bright not to look realistic, but it doesn't look dull at all!
Painting aside, you have an interesting style! I'd say it blends well with the original one of the cartoon, but still stands out as its own! I especially like how you did the face!
A thing that kinda bugs me is how the head look like it's misplaced! I'm not sure how to explain myself, but it looks like the neck links to the head way too far behind than it should be! I think the hand kinda looks shapeless too, while I like the thick arm that connects to the palm without showing the wrist, I think the fingers are off and make the whole thing look off!

This is pretty nice! I like the contrast you've created~
There are things that bother me and i'm gnna talk about these for most part and maybe give some good adivce as I go ;w; So; As I said, the contrast is nice, however the lighting and shadow position is very uneven and pretty random for most part pace is really well done, i like the shadow from the hair and how you detailed the wrinkles, however, the light comes mostly from the top right i believe? So I'd say the light from the bottom (arm, clothing) or even left side (face) is unnecessary it would create nicer atmosphere if you left some parts darker and focused on one light point.
Second thing - anatomy, the SU style and character design is something I believe you were going for, but the arm compared to the rest of the body looks way too short, and her head is moved to the side, almost to the extreme. Maybe there was a  perspective point, but It just looks weird as it is. I reccomend always using references especially with poses~!

First thing I notice is the lighting. Your shading is alright but where is the light source? It seems as if there is one in front and one behind her, but in some places the shading is inconsistent and doesn't reflect this well. It makes it a bit confusing to look at. 
The expression, as already pointed out, is also a bit unnerving. I know that Steven Universe usually has this kind of tiny pupil way of drawing eyes, but since you drew Ruby so realistically it looks off. 
Her pose is very fluid though and I like that. The shading on the face is handled well too.
One last thing- since shoulders tend to be quite rounded I don't think the cloth would fall over it in a straight line like that- it would probably follow the curve of her shoulders.
