Description
This is for my haters. You can't tell the difference eh? well, now you can, so yeah, you haters SUCK :'DAnd to all my fans, sorry for the lack of art. I've had problems/art block etc. and it'd be nice if you didn't ask about what problems, i'd rather not talk about them.
That isn't a new fursona, I just drew loudeyes in wolf form so people didn't get confused n' that. She isn't a wolf normally, just kitteh so... yeah.

Excuse me, I find your description very, very silly. People don't have to be haters to say that they see no anatomical differences between your wolves and your cats. Majority of them are probably reasonable people who look more into helping their fellow artist, not haters. For example, I am not a hater and I can't see any major differences between your wolves and your cats, I don't even KNOW you enough to hate on you nor would I waste my time doing so even if I did. If your audience look at your animals and can't tell what it is from the other, that doesn't give you the right to label them as haters and saying they suck because it makes you seem immature at best.
Now as for your wolves vs your cats, in my opinion. I am not a hater and don't label me as one for stating this.
But really there isn't no difference here.
Your cat here is just less fluffy than the wolf, it has a pink nose and ears with tips I would most likely see on a lion or a cougar rather than on a domesticated cat. Plus, this is only one type of cat, what about the more fluffier cats like Persians? If you make it fluffier to match the breed going by this guide, your audience is just going to think it is a wolf. The different tail was probably forced there to try to give your cat a different feature and call it 'major'. It doesn't really matter because not all cats have those same tails. What about if you plan to draw a manx cat, or a cat with flat faces? Going back to the ears, I have seen your other cat drawings. (Just assuming they are cats since their noses were pink) and on some of the cats the ears weren't like, so what was going on there? Have you ever tried drawing those types of cats?
Your wolf is just fluffy and has a black nose, nothing else really major or noticeable, looks like a more fluffier version of your cat. The change of color on a nose isn't going to make any real difference, you could make it purple with white sparkles and it won't matter. Not all cats have pink noses either. See here: [link]
How is the number of spikes in her hair even count as a SPECIES difference? What if you have a wolf character who doesn't have any hair? I don't think it really does matter since all the wolves I seen you draw ALL have hair and in the exact same style too, no real differences among each individual characters either other than color and markings. If I follow this guide, then a wolf that has two spikes in it's hair isn't a wolf, right? The wolf muzzle is too short about the same length as the cat's nose though the cat's nose looks bigger for some reason, and overall the wolf is just the cat only scruffier and with a black nose, that's it. Oh right, and two more spikes in it's hair.
I wouldn't even label this as a style difference with species because this is just ONE character and ONE breed of cat. Not all cats in the world look exactly alike, there is loads of variety there. I can't say anything about the wolf because I don't know what type of wolf that is, I am just assuming it is a grey wolf, or if you really was following the crowd, a dire wolf.
If this is a STYLE difference then EVERY cat you draw must be the exact same breed.
Speaking as a person in the background, people don't want to depend on the color of the noses and the ears( which are inconsistent to begin with.) to know what animal it is. People who are color blind would be screwed.
Again, I am not a hater, just a deviant who felt like voicing herself so don't take it the wrong way.

Thank you for this comment, it really has been insightful (sorry if i cannot answer all, It's long!)
At the time this was made, I was going through a bit of a rough patch and it was just getting me down a little so I proably came acros as a stupid kid, which I probably am tbh.
I have been thinking about changing my style for a long time now, but it's hard to let go of an age old style y'know, but It's time I id, and I'm taking your advice, pictures, anatomical referances and diagrams. I want to make a goo job of this as I want it to still be ine, but better acurracy. Same goes for wolves, but that'll take a while
Thank you again for the crit, it's really helped me ^^

I'm going to draw Loudeyes wolf with my fursona like I did for Yuka, Lydz and Swifty. It should be up sometime in the next 24 hours. Just did a practice run, but dang that hair is hard to draw with a mouse. But I got it! Kind of><

I think that the wolf's muzzle should be longer then the cat's. Reasonably longer. I know it's your style and all, but I think that it would be a bit of an improvement. :/ Anyway, nice picture.

Yeah, I am lately trying to make the muzzles gradually a bit longer so it doesn't just go KABOOM and long muzzles if you catch my drift XD But thank chu <3

there good but i must say there still is virtually no difference when in reality thy have so many anatomical differences and your wolf is the same size as your cat...please dont take this the wrong way but your cats muzzle needs to be alot smaller because it looks bigger than the wolf's to me
👍: 0 ⏩: 1
fluffylovey In reply to TeezGeez [2010-03-19 12:53:12 +0000 UTC]
They are the same size so people can tell the difference. If you go to my fursona spam sheet, you can see what the proportions look like. And I kinda wanted to go for a look that was distinctive and regognizable to me but also easy to draw. I kinda forgot to make it realistic
