Description
It's Eos, the kesla I adopted from the wonderful =Amadoodles !As you can see I wasn't kidding about the watercolours, I'm loving using them so much C:
The anatomy's not too good, I can see that, and I really ought to have used a ruler when drawing that box XD
I was cursing myself for choosing to adopt possibly the hardest design to paint in watercolours, but it turned out alright in the end, I think.

Eeeeeeeeeeeee! She looks absolutely gorgeous! seriously I love those pastelly colours. How did you get the whiteish areas in the background? But seriously, dynamic pose and all, she seriously looks amazing!

Thank you! That's one thing watercolours are good for, pastel colours.
Just water really, if you drip water onto still wet paint it makes splodges like that. It's pretty cool.
Thanks again

Hmm sounds like acrylic may behave slightly differently forom watercolour then. Or maybe I'm just not dripping enough >_>
Its awesome though

Actually, I have got something like this to work with acrylics, if the paper's at an angle then adding water carries some of the paint away.
Thank you again

Another wonderful watercolour job! I like that you decided to go for thick and thin lines on various body parts

Thank you! I'm really enjoying using watercolours at the moment, I'm just rediscovering what you can do with them.
Yeah, I did try to make the lines weighted properly, which is something I never used to do. It's really interesting the difference it makes to how you view the image.

I was inspired to use my watercolours again after seeing so many! They really do make you love them again. I think at one point I tried that line wieght thing but I got lazy and abandoned it

I think it's something that I kind of have to do, because I can't keep a steady hand that well, so I need to keep going over the lines just so they aren't all wavy XD

bah mine are always wiggly! I hope no one notices
they say that ballpoint pens are good for hiding a shaky hand, I don't like the way the ink has that sheen to it though

Thank you! (She is female) They're quite fun to do, I might be doing some more (if I don't get loads of ideas for other things in the meantime)
Thanks again, I loved the fluffyness on the adopt sheet so I tried to keep it in my drawing.
The only other thing I used was a waterproof fineliner for the lineart, the rest was all watercolours. I love that pen.

Personally watercolours are my favourite, but others can be good as well. I'd advise looking at a few tutorials on dA then experimenting a bit, tat's what I did.
They're worth it if you're used to working with linearts, I find it a lot easier when you can actually see what you're painting on top of.

Im normally used to painting with acrylics, which I find easier because you can layer and layer, and smother if anything goes wrong.... I need to finie acrylic snakes I drew/painted....
But I might give them a go.. get some masking fluid... get my watercolour book out
