I like the armor and that's a very interesting weapon she has there!!
I would NOT want to annoy her though. She looks fierce and those arms are really muscled. I like how you rendered them. ^.^

We are going to watch John Carter tonight. Alex is soooo excited! And I am too! ^.^ Yeah for Chronicles of Mars. ^.^

I thought I was exited about the John Carter movie, but as I read more and more reviews, I am less and less interested. I definitely want to hear your take.

So as usual this is an adaptation of a book sooooo it is never 100% loyal to the original work. I really enjoyed it. They did a great job with the creation of the Mars universe and monsters. I wish they had developed more the 'green monsters' society as this is an aspect I had really enjoyed in the book. Alex really liked the movie but he had not read the series in a while. Frankly I was not disappointed at all but it remains a walt disney. I think you could truly enjoy the movie.

Thanks for the mini review. It was more helpful than the ones I've seen in the papers. What I can't believe in the previews is what the tharks look like. Most of the barsoom artwork shows them as formidable creatures. This movie portrays them as green stick figures. I recently reread the first book and you know what? I isn't the greatest plotline in the world, so I don't care if they took some liberties.

I see what you mean about the tharks. They might be visually tall and skinny but I found that along the movie their strength was shown although their brutality was not as developed as in the books (once again probably due to the fact that this is a Disney movie...) Once again I wish their society had been more developed. The plot is definitely oriented towards Carter and the Princess and the tharks feel maybe too humans.
Still I did truly enjoy the visuals of the movie and the story telling. ^.^
