Is... is that a young Rhys, fluoroid? P_P Wow. You've been... really, really working on your perspective, huh? Not just that, but texture, too. You've laid out these lines which exceptional precision, and I'm not just saying that, either. Looking at the brick walls that line the alleyway, most artists might do something like make sure the major border lines trace exactly to their respective vanishing points, but would mostly freehand the actual inter-brick lines. Yet, comparing those lines lower down on the wall with those higher up, it's clear that the ones higher up narrow more quickly than the ones lower down on the wall. That's a telltale sign. You measured the line angles very precisely.
I'm not just impressed by that effort, either. Moving away from technical acuity, this background feels more lived in. It feels less generic, and more like a particular lived in space with its own character and personality, and lore. Further, it feels like that lore extends past the boundaries of the page, off into its own universe. I feel like you're getting far closer on paper to the images you want to show us in your head, Fluoroid, and that is always a wonderful feeling to have. Keep it up!

Wow, thank you so much. But nope, this is Kael- a child that causes Rhyn some trouble. Haha...
You're right, though. I'm getting much closer to how I actually envision things when drawing. The painting technique still has a way to go, but I'm grateful for improvement where I can get it. Thanks again for your feedback!

Oh? Hmm... I'm curious as to what elements of your painting technique you're unsatisfied with, actually. I'll admit that I've actually always thought that your final colored pages would have the same coloring style as your avatar, who I now know to be Kael, lol! (Or at least... maybe a slightly older teen version? Your avatar is very small, so maybe that's why I think he looks a bit older?) But yeah, is there some other aesthetic with your coloring that you're trying to accomplish?
I'm glad I can comment on your work. Though to be honest, I don't know how much longer I'll be able to give any sort of constructive criticism, lol. You're improving very fast, I feel.

Woah this is looking great! Awesome job on the perspective - and on making the character feel like part of the surroundings.Β Β
