Description
After almost two years without a update of a new Digimon, I finally drawn Himikomon's Ultimate (Mega) level Amaterasumon, one of the Sankishin (Three Shining Gods), the Shining Sun and she's the leader of these three siblings being the oldest. She - the Sun Goddess - holds also the honor being first drawn with Krita and she was fun to draw as appearing noble and beautiful yet ready for combat.

Character-wise Amaterasumon would be like a loving mother for the Digimon and the world while being steadfast with a sense of justice, observing the world carefully. On the other side she's very sensitive and tends to be annoyed by her two younger siblings and has to keep them in check to keep order. When stressed her creative side withdraws and she becomes more aggressive and loses her calm behaviour, behaving irritated.

Strength-wise Amaterasumon draws her power from the sun. It means in daylight she's very strong, but in the night weaker. Her being very creative and her huge power allows her to create anything from thin air. If Susanoomon (also one of the Sankishin) is a living reset button, Amaterasumon acts a Creator (in computer language it would be compiling code, creating new syntaxes and programs) and she's about as strong as her sibling, maybe even stronger by magic power.

The attacks are in English since I'm not good in making Japanese names for attacks, which would fit her better (sorry!).

Starlight Mirror: Absorbs the enemy's attack with the Yata-no-Kagami and reflects it back with double force. She can use the mirror as well to shoot rays of searing light which can burn anything.
Solaris Blade: Coats the sword Kusanagi with flames or searing light and slashes with it. She can use her elements to extend the blade as well or sending shockwaves by swinging the sword.
Photon Fantasy: Channels energy from the Yasakana-no-Magatama and manifests her imagination what she's thinking at the moment. She can use this ability to restore anything or creating something new.
Sealing Cove: Summons a bunch of stones and caves the enemy in, along having two other "cave seals" around. She shuffles the seals with her mind around and if the enemy can't free itself after some time, it will explode in a violent flash of light. If the enemy can free itself in time, the seals will dissolve silently.

Lore: Some researchs about neglected systems revealed a forgotten oriental legend about three Gods, one of them was already known due the Frontier incident. This legend however seems to preceed the legends of the Warrior Ten and it revolves about these three Gods - also known as the Sankishin (Three Shining Gods). Amaterasumon herself was known as the benevolent Sun Goddess who has the power to create and restore anything with her vast imagination and her Regalia - the Three Sacred Treasures, which contains a shield which reveals the true self; the jewel which holds a infinite amount of energy and the sword which can cut through anything. It's unknown why this legend was forgotten in ancient times, but there's a hint the three didn't get along due their huge differences (or was a family feud which don't want to end?).
Origin: Amaterasu is the Shinto goddess (kami) of the sun as well leader of the heavenly kami.
