For anyone who doesn't know, the video was called "And if it hurts" because that's basically what the first line of the chorus of "Fondu au Noir", one of the songs used, translates to. It's a song about unrequited love.

Correct category?

If anyone's curious about any other clips used that they did not quite recognize (or PIECES of clips), I can answer. xD And yes, I would do most of these steps for every frame that was necessary.

Stuff I forgot to add:
All the image editing was done in Gimp.
The last two screenshots are from the third Brotherhood opening and episode 61.

Only one of Sayaka's three shape-shifting scenes uses the homunculi rectangular-lines method (noticeable here ). I was not pleased with the results, so afterward, I went a different route--I drew a white silhouette that fit between the two frames, just like a 'tween, then duplicated the layer, locked transparency, and filled it with bright pink. Then I unlocked it and used Gaussian blur until the silhouette appeared to glow.
I often added extra lightning with each transformation, but only on every other frame.

The shot of a disguised Sayaka hugging Ed at the 2:31 mark was made with a scene from Conqueror of Shamballa with Winry's jacket recolored and Homura untying her braids (again, from episode 10) overlaid over her hair. I also had to paste the background over top of any visible blond hair left over from Winry and I ran out of frames...it was a trying shot.

I never got to show it in the video, but Edward loses his memories at the end of the video and only has vague recollections. Still, the gem he receives at the end becomes very precious to him...he just doesn't understand why.
