Description
This is how it works;there’s a given time
but born out of choice
are rhythm and rhyme,
the vinyl will spin
as a rule, it must
the goal is to prevent it
from gathering dust.
You may think your tune perfect,
beautifully composed,
but the notes, they
never do what they’re told
they’ve mastered the score well,
but still,
they jump
and skip,
now thinking
that they can give order the slip,
but without a doubt
the beat sets in quick
and they find themselves tamed
by the same old trick.
You’re spinning in circles
slurring and confused
don’t drown yourself in a sea of sound
or you will miss your cue.
Allow yourself for pause,
observe other parts
perception is part of formation
remember, this is art.
Time may be stale
but the sensation stays fresh
creativity will continually flow
though, not always at its best.
As you near the finale
the body will rewind
while its impact and design
play forever in the mind.
But all records will fade
as the melody drops,
as the needle gently lifts
then slowly…
stops.

i really like the elipsis, it helps the feeling of it winding down almost mechanically x

That ellipsis at the end is cliché. It bugs me.
Everything else is golden, and so this gets a favourite.

I'll bear that in mind for future reference.
