Started this one in Bangkok and it took BLOODY AGES. I hate drawing hair, but decided I needed the practice so I gritted my teeth and finished it. I drew it from a photo of Avril Lavigne, the likeness isnt amazing, its alright, but she looked really different on the photo anyway.
I am pleased with this drawing

When I saw it I recognized a girl who is important to me... The likelyness is not really evident, as you say, but I prefer this way.

Sure, its just a matter of finding a way you like to draw. It may take quite a few attempts but trust me you'll get there eventually

That's a really good song...I like her lots (even tho some don't...but I don't care). Your drawing is really amazing...my buddy sitting next to me didn't believe it was a drawing...I had to enlarge it to show him the pencil strokes, LOL. So how did the job search go?

Great job! Even though it doesn't look like Avril, the pencil work is well done. When I zoomed in, I could see even better how well you did this. The pencil work is stunning! It looks like it took a lot of time, effort, and discipline, but it was well worth it. I usually find that my best work comes out of those things, especially when you're getting into detail work.

Nah its ok I realised when I was about half way through that it didnt really look that much like avril any more, so I just concentrated on making it into a good drawing! Thanks for your comment

That is just something. My only suggestion would be to center the pupils. As for the light features, they just serve to enhance the depth of the eyes. And the hair.. Yeah, that's endless. Excellent work overall.

The hair looks very good, but you might need to add a little more shading in the face and details in the eyes. The eyes seem to plain, they are the same color all over. keep it up

The eyes were very plain on the photo, I think it was the lights. But I think you could be right about the face, there isnt much definition in the features. Thanks for the feedback! Much appreciated
