Description
Two pieces of neolithic (4000 - 2500BC) flint, the top is a thumbnail scraper about 4x5cm, the bottom an arrowhead about 2x2.These tested even my patience. The top one took about 5 hours, its so incredibly difficult and time consuming to draw. Anyone who's ever seen a piece of flint will know that the chips are not as well defined in real life as I have drawn them on here, and those little curving lines? On the actual flint you cant see them unless you hold it in the right light, and even then they are almost invisible. But you have to draw them because it shows the archaeologists the order in which the chips were flaked off, and therefore how it was made
I dont think I like drawing flint very much :S

Mmm, I was thinking of doing a really massive one - like A1 size - on my display board for new designers in July (exhibition in London)
