Can't believe your art wasn't chosen for the official story.
This style really showcases how much depth Rarity has not just within that story, but also everything Bronywriter has created that is related to that storyline.

Well....it would be nice if it were for the story, but I just did it for fun ^_^ Glad you like it though, I really wanted to make it where it would really "tell the story" with a picture :3....if that makes since ^.^

It must have been extremely difficult since TSLOR is such a massive story arc.
I still can't believe how much detail went into the trilogy, including the alternative ending for Joyous Blossom.
If offical MLP FIM had a darker overall storyline, similar to these stories it would be tied for my favourite outlet of animation including anime.
Bronywriter is the best a humanizing ponies and giving them character depth while still making his stories grimdark.
In my opinion I tend to find the official overall MLP FIM storyline to be inconsistent.
Though that could be because Lauren Faust was a major part of the writing process and now unfortunately is gone.
Doesn't mean the show is doomed without her: Magic Duel was great even though they demonized Trixie slightly.
That's one example. There are others though I'm still getting into the series so I am unfamiliar with a large selection of content.
Rarity and Trixie are so underrated it's insane! Also I think Sweetie Belle is the best of the CMC.

Though I do agree with you that the show is inconsistent at times. It really bothers me sometimes, but I can't expect much from it so I let those kinds of things slide. I do however wish that they would take it in a more darker and serious tone at times...I know this would never happen because of it being a show for "little girls" but I can dream xDĀ
They do do a good job for the most part though.
I do hate how Rarity and Trixie don't get enough love. Especially Rarity. I always see how people say she is their least favorite, but I never know why. I just don't understand. She is like...the best horse!!

I'm 95% sure Rarity doesn't even have her own full length episode yet!
She has the most personality and is the most complex out of the main 6.
Rarity needs more screentime there is a reason why everyone says she is the best of the main 6 whever she appears.
To me I've always found Trixie to be a far more interesting character than Twilight Sparkle. Trixie has more flaws and potential to grow as a character in multiple ways. Twilight is/was more locked in even before she became an alicorn.
Give me Trixie any day, she always has had more depth.
Want proof Rarity and Trixie are truly underrated and underappreciated? I checked a fim magic group today.
There was about 56 pages of Pinkie Pie. (or so) Roughly 60 of Twilight Sparkle.
Rarity? ONLY 20 to 30 (if that) Why, right?
Even worse with Trixie A PITIFUL 7! 7 pages?
Sometimes I can never understand fanbases.
Rarity's accent is a billion plus times better than Applejack's "Hyuck, hyuck howdy y'all YEEEHAW" sterotypical cowgirl behavior.
Also Rarity's relationship with Sweetie Belle is much more caring than Applejack with Applebloom.

Rarity's had about 2 episodes that focus around her....that is just....sad.Ā
She is truly does have to most depth and personality and that is why I just don't understand why they don't work with her more often.
Trixie is more interesting that Twilight and it's because...well....like you said she has more flaws. I would have to say the only reason is because she is "the bad guy" and Twilight is the main character.Ā
I really don't understand why most people throw them to the bottom of the list. They are just great characters all in all. I like Applejack too, but I would say that even she gets more appreciation than Rarity.Ā
And I would have to agree. Sweetie Belle and Rarity's relationship is more explored. They have a lot of development together and as for Applebloom and Applejack, they are not really that developed yet. We just see that they are sisters and they work together. That's great, but it's not as realistic as Rarity and Sweetie Belle's relationship.Ā

Applejack's alright though.
I made it sound like I hate the character and I don't.
I just think Rarity is far more likeable and isn't just built from
sterotypes.
If Applejack's personality wasn't so exaggerated, I would like the character more.
I'm not an Applejack hater, I'm just mixed in thoughts when it comes to her personality and character traits.

I understand where you are coming from. Rarity is overall a better character than Applejack, but even so...I love them both...just Rarity a whole lot more xD

I'm starting to appreciate Applejack more after watching additional episodes.
While the character is not my favourite in the show, I can see why certain people think Applejack is their most liked character.
I still think Rarity has the most potential of the 6 main characters.
I've noticed that some fans say Rarity tends to give more respect to Spike than Twilight does.

I believe Applejack is a great character. She has potential as well, just not as much as Rarity. Though, I've never really found that most Rarity fans think that way for Spike, but I would have to say that I do respect him. He is a very nice addition to the six.

Oh it must a selection of the fans who think that about Rarity respecting Spike more and not the majority.
Personally I think mlp fim needs an anti hero/villain character who is a renegade, ruthless and successful. He/she could be possibly similar to the Illusive Man in Mass Effect 2 and give Trixie/Twilight Sparkle intel.
It would be really cool if Trixie was given cybernetic upgrades/implants to be able to even win against an alicorn. It would be really interesting if Twilight found a lot of information about Celestia she disagreed with, or if there was a new enemy that only the new character cared about defeating.
I could see her teaming up with Trixie in those circumstances. Imagine Twilight's 5 main friends when both her and Trixie are wearing futuristic cyber outfits/uniforms with some visible (and some upgrades internally inside their bodies) cybernetick upgrades.
Would her friendships last? Even if the ends justify the means?
Imagine if the enemies wanted to experiment on all the ponies, and turn them into cyber zombies. Wouldn't it be something if Celestia did nothing because she did not believe the enemies were real and it was up to Trixie/Twilight with the new character giving them intel?
What a season that would be! They could make it a more detailed version of Equestria Girls or something.
I could imagine a renegade Trixie shooting people to make missions. "Wrong answer" *BANG*

That would be a sight to see and I would really enjoy something like that to happen. Unfortunatly, I'm not sure if they will go into something that awesome and detailed for the show...but...we can always dream

If I even get half as good as i'm imagining the art style I could make but my art suckz right now. I need to practice more.

One thing I've always thought to be a good idea would be if they made a seperate darker, tense, dramatic series. Like an alternate version to the original show.
The 2 versions could have similarities and the authors would never say which would be canon.
I would love a darker, more detailed version of Equestria Girls designs. Morally grey choices and complex problems would be interesting as well.
What if Rarity had to either give up everything she and Sweetie Belle owned or... sacrifice the other main 5 characters for a life of well being for both her and Sweetie Belle?
Maybe there could be a third option, though it would be morally grey. Another interesting take could be if Trixie was always a "good" character and Twilight was "evil" even though they both had no idea? What if Celestia was a villain?
I have ideas, now if only I could draw better.

It is. Gave me an adrenaline rush, straight off the bat! When Rarity fought the bullies, it just kept me on the edge of my seat.
