Rarity is getting bored with the wait for season 3... I would be right there with her if it weren't for the awesome community and fan-made stuff which is filling the gap
Seriously, you guys are awesome! Second time vectoring Rarity, so I hope she came out ok! Her mane is ridiculously fabulous

It's mostly traced, from Season 2 Episode 2 (one of the scenes where the mane 6 are discorded and just kinda hanging around)... Haha, I think she'll find things to do in the meantime, perhaps look at some fabulous fan art

Honestly, I'm not in a rush for it.
I'm fine at the moment but when news of season 3 starts appearing, THAT is when I'll start getting excited.

Now you get a critique from a non-VI
First thing I noticed was the front egs look very long, especially her right one when you imagine where her shoulder would be. Her head seems a bit large compared to her body, especially compared to the hind legs.
There's one aspect in this vector that is perfectly show-accurate, but bugs me every time I see it: The head border between her left ear and her horn from the point where curvature gets stronger down to the horn is technically not the head, but the mane border. I usually make it different since this (show) version looks like she has a severe head fracture due to the head border is not constant behind the horn. That is hardly animateable in the show since one part of the mane is behind the head and the other part is above, but I personally like to correct it in my vectors.

Not much more to say since you of course know what's to keep in mind at vectoring. (Would be pretty dumb to praise a VI for his even strokes.)

I can definitely see what you're saying about the legs... I think the head is probably OK proportionally to the body (body should be ~2/3 the height of the head which it pretty much is), but the rear leg is fairly short and the front legs are really long (they're like 1.25 times the size of her head)
That's really interesting the way that you do that stroke in front of her mane... I don't think I've seen anyone else do it that way, but it does look pretty good. I'm not sure which way I prefer though, I think I've just seen her with that so many times that it's kinda stuck in my head now

I just noticed they do it this way with Spike ([link] ). I guess it was just too complicated with Rarity's mane or caused too many errors since it's moving and everything.

Hmm, yeah that's interesting that they do it differently for Spike and Rarity... There's probably a good reason with the animation. I've been so busy and exhausted that I haven't gotten around to fixing her front legs yet

Well, her mane is more complicated than his spikes, and she has a horn where this stroke gap can be hidden behind.
