Yay, more lighting! This is part of a collab with some VI's from the to vector the Adventures in the Crystal Empire DVD cover (which is set to be released on December 4!!). Unfortunately, the back half of rarity is cut off in the released cover image, so I had to take a wild guess at Rarity's tail (which is pretty much guaranteed to be different in the show
). I hope it still came out fabulously! Huge thanks to and for help with the perspective on the cutie mark!!As a side note, I absolutely love vectoring Rarity's mane and tail! I don't know if it's weird, but there's something about the intricate perspective that I really enjoy. And because I enjoy drawing Rarity, I feel that she's started to grow on me as a character
Anyhow, stay tuned for the full cover collab! I will probably post a journal when it's done

title is freaking long and inappropriate to the picture. i'd say "Crystal pony Rarity".

I was going for a fun and clever title by taking the line from The Ballad of the Crystal Ponies, "We can save the crystal ponies with their history", and adding a more Rarity appropriate spin to it... I think that despite being a bit long, it fits fairly well with the vector. I do like to try to make my titles clever instead of just simply stating the obvious

You know I kinda see this as a hairstyle Rarity would have when she's older.
It'd be a bit hard to show that they've aged without changing haristyles (ok not all of them would've changed hairstyles but Rarity and maybe Twilight for sure)

Rarity looks really pretty as a Crystal Pony. I love the design used for her mane, it looks much more stylish than what they usually do when they do up-do mane styles.

I'm not using the vector, rather using it as a reference, the mane and tail design is great.
I'm doing a picture for a OC going to the gala with rarity. A little scrap book page of the two going to the gala.

In the DVD cover Rarity, Pinkie, and Cadance still have ellipses for their eye reflections... Which is kinda odd considering the rest of the mane 6 do have the hexagonal eye reflections
