Description The first time I saw the Richard Avedon's iconic photograph of a Burmese python wrapped around Nastassja Kinski, it snaked it's way to the part of my brain form where things never go away!
This is an attempt to recreate the same using DAZ studio & LuxRender via reality.
I haven't tried to morph her face (I'm not a big fan of celebrity morphs), but rather tried to emulate the feel of the image.
The thing that I miss is the flicking tongue of the snake, but somehow the morphing python can't do that anymore, the morphs just don't show up anywhere in DAZ.
1Genesis, 1MorphingPython, 1Softbox (from the brilliant RealityLightSystem by Callad) & 1Cove for the backdrop.
C&C most welcome.
Cheers!

It looks almost like a real photo, love the pose, not just a skinny model, but a real woman , and the snake looks suburb, and very real. The textures are great, allover; a gorgious render!!

Thank you!
I've always preferred to have a little more flesh on the figure, makes it much more softer and believable.
I guess I got lucky this time then
Thanks again for the kind words!

Great, my friend, but I had the same idea as ~THExDUKE : the hair spoils a bit. Can't you model the mesh "manualy" ?

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

flyashy In reply to pumpkinman68 [2013-05-31 07:36:42 +0000 UTC]

Erm, I just found a tongue for the snake, so am going to redo the image. I think I'll do the hair also this time around.
Cheers!

Yes, I was also not very happy with the hair, but I couldn't find any other hair that'd have looked more convincing.

Cheers!

I think you have done a superb job and the python looks excellent! I didn't know their textures were that good! I looked up the original photo and I think it's pretty similar.

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

flyashy In reply to Vampyric-Saiyaness [2013-05-31 06:55:17 +0000 UTC]

Thank you very much!
The textures are similar, though there is much more brown in the original, but unfortunately the morphing python comes with only three of them, and this one was the closest. The rest is all bump & specularity trials & errors
Thank again for the encouragement!
Cheers!
