Maud: Is this really necessary?Brooklyn: Of course it is! Halloween's the only time gargoyles can go out in public.
Maud: You mean Nightmare Night. And why do I have to dress as BlackΒ Spider?
Brooklyn: That's Black Widow, from The Avengers! And it goes along with my costume.
Maud: (sigh) The things I put up with...
Brooklyn: C'mon, you know you love it.
A collaboration with . I sketched it, he did the lineart, and we both worked on the shading and coloring. It was inspired by an idea from , only I modified it--the original idea was the Hulk and Black Widow, but I changed it to be Captain America and Black Widow.
This is also a departure from my usual style since it's the first time I've ever shaded a picture. Tell me what you think! (:

That sucks cause Gargoyels was an awesome show too! Well it was a late afternoon cartoon, so probably why not many people would find it cool due to not being up usually to watch it.

1. Do not crop/cut your char.
Make sure you have enough space to show them fully.
Stuff that gets cropped is seen as not as important.
It also could look like you did not plan out your picture properly.
For this picture, it would be better to show all of Brooklyn.
2. This is just a suggestion.
Maybe you could put shadows under the char's feet?
That will anchor their feet to the ground better but they do not look like they are floating here.
I am not sure what the shadow would look like.
The number of light sources is kinda vague, the moon is one source but there is another one coming in from the screen.
The first one is the most important.

Yeah, I wasn't intending to crop Brooklyn's wings, foot or tail, but the problem is that the paper I sketched the drawing on was too big and my scanner wouldn't pick it all up.
The original sketch did show the rest of his wings, but in this one it's cropped.
And as for the second one, I'll try that next time. As I said earlier, this whole shading thing is still new to me, so I don't know a lot about what I'm supposed to do.
