...I used so much hairspray on this (to stop the pencil from smudging) that it reeks of it, and is actually shiny
...which also meant that it reflected with the flash on the camera and didn't take a very good photo... oh well

Spray it with hairspray.. didnt know you could do that. I have trouble with my pencils smudging to i'll try it.

LOL yeah... there is this special spray stuff you can get to put on drawings so they don't smudge (my art teacher has it), but it's rather expensive, and I've found that hairspray is just as effective
Preferably I would scan it, but my scanner is really bad and doesn't pick up the lighter pencil... In future I think I'll take the photos in natural light and see if that makes a difference
