Uhg. This... is as done as it's ever going to get. I'm not quite happy about how the 'focal characters' kinda blend into the background, how the sunlight looks fake and a million other things. Buuut... I still enjoyed drawing it, so it's still a winning situation. The world needs more Bushy/Liqui arts. Or at least the internet does.

Thank you! i've sadly put lots and lots of thought into them. From family backgrounds, to psychological analysis, and so on. If you ever really wanted to talk about them, or any of the characters, I'm up to it.

I STRONGLY suspected. Hehhehe.
I guess the answer was kinda obvious from your guys' avatars, but yes, the fact that you draw and write so much M/Q did throw me off. I find it really interesting, how you guys look at these charcters!

Actually, for the longest time, our avatars were us dressed up as Megavolt and Quackerjack. I just really wanted a change, and asked Moonie if I could make us a new pair. Since Liqui was her favorite, and Bushy mine, I decided to go with a B/L theme.
I'll be honest...i'm not a big fan of how a large portion of the QJ/MV shippers see these two. It's just, as feminine as both can be, they are both men. And it seems that people forget this sometimes. I always found it weird that people made Megavolt the ultimate girly bottom. Because he wore a dress once? Naaah. The thing to remember is that he was convinced into wearing it. Not that he saw some outfits and went "OooOoOoo! I want THIS one! " Quackejack is really the one dominating the relationship. In the sense if he wanted to be the one constantly sticking his his slinky up Megs' outlet...he could convince Megs of it. but not only do I think Quacky just enjoys things up his rear, no matter if his partner is a man or a woman, but I think he gets a thrill out of Megs thinking he is the manly man of the relationship. Megs thinks he's the dominate one in the relationship. But just because he's giving rather than receiving, doesn't make that so. LOL.
Think of their personalities, actually. Quackerjack is like a spoiled child. Always wanting and going "gimmie gimmie gimmie." it's the same in all aspects of his life. Do I believe he's honestly in love with Megavolt? I have no doubt about it. He loves the rodent. Loves him as deeply as one criminally insane person could love another. Megavolt is one of the rare people that get him and accepts him for his crazy. Just like he is the same with Megs. However...I can't help but wonder if his love is selfish. (What love isn't, really?) He loves how Megs makes him feel. He loves how fun life is when he's with him. He loves how he can manipulate and get any reaction out of him. So on and so forth.
Compare this to Megavolt. Like i said, he's a giver when it comes to love and romance. He feels more comfortable that way. He loves making Quacky happy. He loves that he can somehow keep him happy and fulfilled. He loves when he's able to make Quackerjack smile. He loves taking care of Quacky after he goes and does something stupid and dangerous. He loves that he's in love with his best friend.
...PFFT! Sappy. These two ARE still criminals and enjoy mayhem and villainy. Buuuut....Even they have their sweet and intimate side. But their love ISN'T full of flowery words and feelings. Their love isn't as sensual as Bushroot's and Liquidator's. Their love is more wild, playful, and crazed. a roller coaster with ups, downs, and random loop-de-loops that fly at you out of NOWHERE! It's fun, it's a rush...But you can get sick on it. which would explain why these two do get to points where they don't see each other for weeks. Bushroot and Liqui could live together and be happy and content. Megs and Quacky drive each other crazy if they spend too much time together.
...I rambled. LOL. Oops?

No, you're fine. I actually think their relationship- the way you guys look at it- is very, VERY fascinating! And it all makes perfect sense, given their personalities.
I agree, may people make Quacky the dominating one, both sexually and otherwise. I've grown all too used to this, I think, that it took me a bit for your guys' approach to really sink in... mind you, I still loved it, finding very refreshing! Honestly, now I'm actually used to this way, and prefer it! Just as long as, non-sexually, Megs is still the bitch... because I LOVE THAT SO MUCH. There's nothing Megs wouldn't for/to his Quacky, even if it's something really weird or embarassing!

Aww, thanks! ^^ Bushroot/Liquidator will always be my favorite DwD pairing. I just tend to draw/write Megs/Quacky the most because Snark and I RP'd as them for the longest time, so they just kinda became a part of us in a weird way, y'know? Liquidator will always be my favorite DwD character.
If I told you why I hold a grudge against Megavolt, you'd think I was crazy, so let's just say while I like the character a whole lot, I'll never be able to see him as 'attractive' in any way I used to, though!

Awww, but I wanna knowww... lol
I guess I never cared for Likky because I always thought the character was kinda boring and one-dimenional. (Sorries; I actually blame the writers for not giving him more personality and air-time), plus there's nothing that makes him a tragic or sympathetic villian. Even as Bud Flood, he was a creep, lol. But that's just me.

Love it! I agree with everyone else who said your Liquidator turned out awesome here. I think the sunlight effect is pretty neat, too. Bushy seems surprised, but in a happy way. I wonder what Liqui is telling him to be quiet about?

Aww, thanks I'm very glad you like it. He's probably trying to sneak Bushroot away from the poinsettias so they can go have sexy time behind those bushes over there.

This does look very tricky to create. You did an amasing job in creating the water flow of Liqui. Love the reaction on Bushroot's face.
With more practice, you will be able to acheive that "natural lighting" effect. Amasing job

A lot of tutorials have shown me that to get the focal characters out of the background, you can add some noise to the background (in photoshop, they have speckling and all that). Just a liiiittle smidge, and it'll help the characters pop out.
Regardless, I love this. Especially Liquidator, because water is so damn hard to draw but you nailed it perfectly. Also, I really like the sunlight! It has a very clean cartoony feel to it.

Really... thanks for the tip! I'll tweak it some later today and see if it helps.
Thanks! Water is a real pain to shade...
