Darkwing Duck- BushrootWas playing in paintchat again. I drew a Bushy to entertain myself. Now to go back to editing a different picture...Maybe.

I like your take on his arms... the 'bands' or whatever they are. I can never decide how they should be drawn (the Disney artists for the cartoon obviously couldn't either, I noticed).

thank you very much. I think that was one thing about Bushy's character that annoyed me. especially when I first started drawing him. They were never consistent with his design. not with the coloring, and not with those bands. Or how many toes he had! so I went "screw it" and went with something I thought was pleasing. Something that looked like him, but felt like my contribution. I do change him up from time to time, though, to try and see what I prefer.
Again, thank you! I need to get myself to do more art of bushy. Oh, how i missed him. i can't very well call myself his fangirl and not abuse him! for shaaame.

I hear ya! That was frustrating with both Mutants, though they managed to keep Licky mostly consistant (it mostly being a question of how much effort they actually cared to put into colouring him). But Bushy? Sheesh. He looked slightly different in every episode - they couldn't even decide on a single shade of green!
And yeah, his poor feet! Even though the 'eagle talons' look from 'It's a Wonderful Leaf' when he's sitting on the floor in the gardening shop were incredibly stinking cute. I just like it best when they're not so curvey and look more like roots - as with in his debut episode.

Wow, I really like the watercolor effect in the background! It makes it look like Bushroot is coming off the page! Plus, he look innocent and happy, which makes me happy

Daww, thank you. I decided to go with the background because I love water colors. And I don't do enough backgrounds with it. Simple, but I think effective.
Bushy's is just saying hiiiii. He'd just LOVE it if you became his friend.
