Description
(Nickname: Tusk)The Mermay Challenge is an art challenge where artists are asked to draw 1 mermaid every day based on a series of prompts.
I decided to take my own spin on it and create mermaids based off of different prehistoric marine life. Hope you enjoy!
Mermaid is based off of Odobenocetops, the easygoing tusk whale of the Pliocene Epoch, Cenozoic Era.
Made in May 2021 using Photoshop.

And thanks for the advice! Normally I do more complete images, but doing daily/semi daily character sketches for Mermay is tough 😅. Working on it!
