Description
This is the design I used for the tattoo I got on my back a few months ago. Here is a pic of the finished tattoo: [link]The base design (wings and shape) was created by here [link]
I sharpened a lot of the lines and then modified it to add some of my own designs in the middle, and the unicursal hexagram up the top.
The design in the middle I did many years ago. It's a combination of several symbols from different cultures around the world. These include:
Chinese symbol meaning 'the way' (which is what the Tao is known as)
Star of David
Celtic Cross
Aum symbol
Serpent
Alchemical Symbol for the Quintessence
Unicursal Hexagram
I combined all these different symbols to reflect the idea embodied in the saying 'One song, many voices.'

This is one of the most intricate, fascinating, and altogether wonderful tatoo designs I've seen...well, pretty much ever.
This is amazing. I have no other words for it.

That combination is very well done and i like the way you put so much thought into it, not just as a tattoo but as a design itself. It's really beautiful in it's own way. Something we can all appreciate

Thanks ^_^ I put years of thought into it, and there's a whole philosophy behind it (sort of), so I'm really glad you like it.
