Description EDIT: Fixed a couple of perspective issues, and tweaked the colors a little~

Working with more uncommon angles and LOOK! The human female form! A true rarity in my gallery~ (I really do need to draw people more in general)

Really need to thank my friend for posing like this, I easily couldn't have gotten this far without her help.

I'd say that's a very accurate summation. I remember also being inspired by the designs of the Metal Slug series at the time as well.

Could of sworn I commented on this, oh well lets fix that.

I think this might be my favorite piece in your gallery just for that perspective and the water alone.
I'm especially fond of those ripples and how much depth everything has. Fabulous work man. c:

Thanks! Yah, similar to your 'Cog in the Machine' piece, I too have a strong appreciation for water effects. The perspective idea was a push from my teacher, but I do admit I needed to do more 'uncommon' pieces like this, which I feel add much needed depth to my works.

Yeah it really looks like you had a lot of fun with the ripples. I approve haha.

I'm glad they pushed for it because it really sets the composition overall.
I'd love to see more images like this, it really adds alot to your already
lovely gallery. c:

Thanks, and I personally agree. I'm hoping to do more so in projects like my web-series LOCK.

So I still want one of these. Are you going to ACen this year?

foolyguy In reply to Kataoi [2011-05-18 19:35:58 +0000 UTC]

Yep, I'll bring a print with my stuff. I'll be largely be in the arcade room on the bottom floor of the Hyatt, so that's the best bet, but I'm sure we'll bump into each other somewhere.

I got jipped really bad on that. Signed up DAY 1 of registration, and despite being an attendee of Artist Ally two years running, they go 'LOL, while our buggy website was down, all positions filled up. S-O-R-R-Y~'

Woah, how did you crank this out in a day? Looks way different from the sketch - like, the lighting gives it a whole new feel.

I'm a little perplexed by it myself, but I've been doing this drawing thing for quite a while now. I figure I should be making some progress somewhere, right?

I really do enjoy the photoshop program itself though. I'm becoming more and more familiar with this little machine~

Wow, I'm floored. The ripples, shine, and semi-transparency of the water are hugely impressive. The "truly rare" human female looks great too - just about everything in this piece is impressive, technique-wise.

A+ job, man.

Thanks a lot, while I still need to tweak this piece further, I really did pour a lot of effort into this one.
