Nico was sitting on his bed, in Percy's room, at Percy's apartment, in Long Island, New York.
Camp Half-Blood had been destroyed because of he recent war, with Gaea and her monsters. He had nowhere to go, since the only place he could go, had been destroyed. He could've gone to Camp Jupiter. But everything was so different there. People had started to resent Nico, because they had found out about his crush on Percy. Hazel was one of the only people who supported him. Piper, Frank, and Leo didn't know. They were in their own worlds, not paying attention to life, lately. They were all caught up in love. Sally, Percy's mom, insisted on Nico staying with them, since he didn't have a home. He thought that it was nice that she had offered, but unfortunately, him and Percy had to share a room, since they only had two bedrooms. Nico wanted to sleep on the couch, but Sally wouldn't let him. He hated how painfully polite she was. It was painful to sleep in the same room with Percy, since he was all Nico thought about.
Nico dreaded staying with Percy's family; they were so annoyingly nice and polite. Nico couldn't be rude to them after all they had done for him. They gave him food, water, a temporary home. Everyday he saw Percy. Clueless, beautiful, amazing, Percy. Nico took a deep sigh. He had to see Percy smile at him with his gorgeous sea green eyes, everyday. It hurt so bad to look at Percy and not be able to kiss him right on the spot.
Nico had told Jason that he was over his crush on Percy. He was. He was over his crush. Now that his crush was over, he was in love. In love with the one and only, Percy Jackson. The one he had hopelessly admired since he was ten years old. Percy was beautiful. The way his skin shined in the sunlight, and his sea green eye sparkled with curiosity and wonder. Nico wondered what Percy thought of him. Some goth, kid with depression? An emo who self-harms? Nico didn't know. But it scared him, that he cared. He had told himself that he wouldn't do this. He told himself that he wouldn't be one of those people who cares about what others thought. But with Percy, it was different. Percy made Nico want to fix his hair, dress up nice, and smell good. He doubted Percy felt the same way. He was with Annabeth, and he was happy. At least that's what Nico thought.
Nico continued to sit on his bed in Percy's room, lost in thought. Percy walks in. Oh gods. Nico's stomach felt like it was being weighed down by a big rock.
"Hi." Percy said to Nico awkwardly. Nico dared himself not to say hello back. He didn't want Percy to know he cared.
"Hey." But he couldn't stand it. He couldn't stand not talking to Percy. He was just too beautiful. "Hows it going?" Percy wondered.
Percy didn't need to make this more awkward than it already was. "I'm okay..." Nico answered. He tried to read Percy's thoughts. Why was he doing this to him?
Nico sighed deeply. "Nico," Percy started. "I need to tell you something that's been bothering me. I really need to get it off my chest, and you're the only one I can really talk to around here." Could this be it? Could this be the moment Nico had been waiting for? Nico doubted it, but he continued.
"Yeah?" Nico pondered. "What's that." Nico tried to sound as calm as possible.
"I-I broke up with Annabeth." That wasn't what Nico was exactly hoping for, but it was a start.
"I'm sorry, Percy." Nico sympathized. Nico didn't want to know what had happened, but he made an effort to sound like he cared. "What happened?"
Percy didn't look hurt by the situation. He looked somehow ... relieved.
"I-I," Percy's voice cracked as he attempted to answer. "I just..."
"You don't have to answer, Percy."
"Thanks. Though I get the feeling you're saying that because you don't care." How did he know?
"Hey!"
Percy glared at Nico.
"Fine," Nico cracked. "You're right. I don't care. It's your problem, and you can deal with it on your own." Nico didn't want to say those things, but a burst of anger washed over him for thinking that Percy was going to say something about him and Nico.
"Why the hate?" Percy inquired Nico. "We're friends, right? Shouldn't I be able to talk to you without someone having a fit?"
"Just Friends." Nico didn't mean to say that out loud. After that, Percy suddenly looked like he was starting to get what Nico had been feeling since he was ten.
"Nico. I'm..." Percy's voice slowly disappeared.
"Ha," Nico laughed wryly. "You finally get it." Nico's stomach fluttered. He could feel his near future; running from life, all over again. Nico got up off his bed and stood in the middle of the room.
"Nico, I--" Percy was interrupted by Nico.
"You don't feel the same way. Blah, blah. Lets move on." Nico felt a tugging sensation in his stomach. He was so nervous, it took every ounce of strength for him not to break down and cry, right there on the spot.
"Nico, would you just shut up and listen to me?" Nico was stunned. Usually Percy kept quiet, and didn't say much. Nico nodded and waved his hand for Percy to continue.
At first Percy hesitated. Silence for a short few seconds. "Nico, I-I love you." Nico thought Percy was messing with him.
"Not the way I want you to." Nico added.
"Stop that." Percy ordered.
"Stop what?"
Percy got up off his bed and stood face to face with Nico. "You think you can read peoples thoughts, but you can't. I love you, Nico. More than just a friend or-or just a little brother. I have loved you like that for a while, I was just afraid that you wouldn't love me back. Annabeth was the only other thing in the way. That's why I broke up with her. I told her how I feel about you. Now she knows, and she supports me. Along with everyone else. And they support you too."
Nico was no longer surprised. He felt confident and sure of himself.
"Really?" Nico said as he stared into Percy's sea green eyes. He started breathing quietly heavy.
Percy pulled Nico's body in closer to his. "Yes." Percy pulled Nico in closer, until their mouths were touching. Nico couldn't believe that his lips were on the one and only, Percy Jacksons. Nico felt fresh, as his lips brushed across Percy's. Percy's hand running through Nico's hair as their tongues intertwined together. Nico pulled back for air. "Wow. You're good at that."
"So I've been told."
"Percy?" Nico asked.
"Yeah?" Percy replied.
"I love you too."

I realized I forgot to post a comment on here, so I was "'Kay. Gotta do something creative." Then, bamf, the moar cat. Because I abuse the clapplz one too much.
Aha, it's almost 2 am here, too, but I kind of have a wacked out sleeping schedule [possible minor insomnia?] so I don't usually get to bed for a while.
Have you figured out how everybody else will react, namely Sally or Poseidon or Hades? Because I think it would be pretty nifty, too, if you included that.
