well wether you like it or not, wether you call yourself an artist or not you create art and tyhe creator of art obviously is an artist, ako i never said im an artist, kala nga ng iba dito im more of a writer philosopher, i prefer creator...i create...but in creating art the term will stick to me as an artist...there are many archetypes, you being unique in your works is a good example of the artist archetype...you dont need to think deep in creating art, your art speaks for you...your art is your voice, the screaming bitch fucked by your vituous imaginatiopn expressing the moans of your creative powers....

sharing the same symphaties, maybe ivan is attracted to "alien" subject...i dont mean this in a nationalistic sense, but the ends of means and the means of ends are roused when one is confined to portray manneristically the same choice of subject...but who cares about our ramblings, what is importtant is that ivan have the courage to stick on his ideals and hang on to it...great work diba?

i couldnt agree more on that...skill wise ivan is great...rpoblem is we need to rise up above mere skill..it takes courage to rise or to transcend technique and cross over the other side...another problem is the ideals i see he is attached into...photorealism as a movement justifies itself by replicating the lens of the camera using the hand, i think it is more of a pop culture phenomena than strong true art movement...i have been debating many established artists here and abroad about the conceptuals of this faggot movement, america is to be blamed for this kind of consciousness...crab mentality dominated the minds of many of our greatest artists...i have been teaming up with select few artists from across this continent in hopes of redefining a new calling in the arts...i termed periscopical art in that respect to define the select few who have managed to rise up above postpostmodern art movements that included photorealism, a decadent art movement...i'll send you a link to the manifesto i wrote...problema kasi with photorealist the soul of the subject is lost and have been reduced to mere succeptible "copy"...of course anyone with adept skill can do such, but to imbue it with the human spirit transcendance is necessary...i myself have been struggling with my art, continued redefinition and experimentations have lead me to the ideals of the old masters, but i managed to infuse my philosophy in my works no matter what cost it takes me...did you know i debated even the writer philosopher of the now famous Visionary Art movement, Laurence Caruana...i also have been angst ridden with what have been happening to the philippine art scene...anyways going back to our little discussion here, i think Ivan is a great painter, the next step he needs to take is to transcent his technique towards a more personal and powerful vision, and i mean it with a positive confession...amen
