an entry for my friend's contest on TinierMe

theme:
The suits of a deck of cards (Heart, Spades, Club and Diamond)
*for this theme, she ask the contestants to draw each symbols as a person.

before go to my concept, please read this so that you don't get confused.
the four people above are all my OCs. from left to right, Arventura, Clotaire, Lot, Azriel.
Ven is a ventriloquist, while the others are all puppets....in human form.

I had planned my concept from long ago, so here goes my concept. the concept is formed from each character's story, seasons they represents, and my opinion about the symbols:

Arventura
symbol: spade
a symbol of deck cards whose Ace is the highest card. Ven is a ventriloquist, and a puppet won't be alive without him. He's the most important key in ventriloquism. Ven formed his three puppets' personalities and make them alive. however, he never consider his puppets as subordinates but friends
season:
Autumn, referring to the symbol that has a shape like a leaf
Ace of Autumn. (a ventriloquist and the key of all)

Clotaire
symbol: clubs
well, this is my opinion....clubs symbol is like made from two hearts. can you spot two hearts on the symbol? half of both of them became one.
only half of the heart become one, and separated on the other side. IMHO this suits Clo's personality. Clo is rude, but his rudeness unintentionally shows his affection. he's rude but he actually cares people. a tsundere.
season:
spring. what else I can say, the clubs looks like a flower in my opinion
Jack of Spring. (Clo is the youngest and most childish from all)

Lot
symbol: heart
A flirtatious gentleman, Lot. He loves to show his affection and attraction to people, especially on girls.
season:
summer. heart is red, red is hot or warm. and a warm season is summer
King of Summer. (I think Kings on the past had so many wives? seems nice, Lot is a womanizer)

Azriel
symbol: diamond
diamond can be a 'shining beautiful gem'. Azriel is the only girl from all four, and she's a connector between them. a shape of diamond won't form a shape if one line is missing, and so this one. the four people won't be completed if Azzie is missing. diamond is formed by four lines, and if Azzie's not there, they won't make a shape.
if Ven's puppets are all real humans, Azzie is a peace-bringer. she help Lot not to get over-flirtatious, she calmed Clo down, and she comforts ven on his frustrated times
season:
winter. the diamond symbol is like a shape of an ice crystal.
Queen of Winter. (the only female from all four, plus the explanation from above)
